Term 3 Week 1
Yamba Public School
RESPECT: LEARN IT, EARN IT, SHOW IT.
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin
Dear Parents,
Welcome back everyone.
I hope you are ready for a busy Term 3. This term we have several new students starting and I extend a very warm welcome to them and their families. This term will start off with celebrations all round. July 25-29: The school will be celebrating NAIDOC, with a variety of activities throughout the week. Monday - 10:45 Flag Raising Ceremony, followed by morning tea. Tuesday – 9:30 to 11:00 Story Telling activities in classrooms Wednesday – 9:30 onward Parent session on domestic violence (in hall). Thursday Class based activities. Friday Indigenous games (during sport times) & sausage sizzle lunch. We’d love to see you at school during the week! The following week (week 3 of term), we will celebrate Education Week; which will start off with school photos and finish with our athletics carnival. So stay tuned for details as they draw closer. Reminders: Uniforms – Please remember names on jumpers! We have a very large lost property at the moment. Please come in and check the box if you are missing any items. Hats: As part of the school uniform you are encouraged to send your child to school with a school hat, to wear during school hours. Parents need to take the
lead in this, to increase the use of sunsafe hats. Let’s be sun safe all year round!
Parking: The school
carpark is for staff only, unless prior
permission has been given. Please use
the kiss and drop zone in the morning
and afternoon.
