Aboriginal experienceDiscover the ways of the Noongar people who live in WA’s south-west. Students learn about their seasonal movements, language, and how knowledge is passed from generation to generation. They see tools such as spears and boomerangs, and witness a spear-throwing demonstration. They will discover how plants and animals in this environment bear great significance to Noongar people.

Didgeridoo and danceDiscover the importance of dance for communication intraditional Noongar culture. Students learn how to communicate by dancing and how expression in dance is linked to the spiritual beliefs of the Noongar people.

Spear and boomerang throwingGet a feel for what it’s like to throw a gidge (spear) or kylee (boomerang), Noongar style.

Caves are coolPrepare to be amazed as you explore the magnificent Crystal Cave! Join our enthusiastic guide on an incredible journey. This environmentally focused program will provide an understanding of how the caves were formed and continue to develop. Curriculum-linked and interactive, these are private tours.

Age: Years 1 to 12 Cost: $8 per student Duration: 45 minutes Curriculum linked: Yes Minimum of 10/maximum 30 students per booking.

Limestone: more than just a rockTake a journey back in time to another world and learn how limestone is created. Students immerse themselves in the dynamic processes that take place on our limestone and find out what natural and man-made impacts do to this fragile environment. They will gain an understanding of how important our karst system is and how they can help to protect it for the future.

Age: Years 3 to 7 Cost: $10 per student Duration: 45 minutes Curriculum linked: Yes Minimum 10/maximum 20 students per booking.

Wet to woodEmbark on a journey with one of our experienced guides to learn about the habitats of different animals—frogs, tiger snakes, honey possums and more—that live in Yanchep National Park.

From Loch McNess to the wetlands to the woodlands, students find out how animals and plants adapt to rapidly changing conditions and survive in the harsh Australian bushland.

Age: Years 3 to 6 or Years 7 to 11 Cost: $8 per student Duration: 45 minutes Curriculum linked: Yes Minimum 20 students per booking. Available April to October only.

Adventure caving Adventure caving tours are renowned for being action-packed, safe and fun for kids.

Students will join our experienced guide to step outside their comfort zone and discover a whole new world beneath their feet.

Age: 8 years and up (age restrictions applies to some caves) Cost: $200 per group Duration: 1.5 hours Curriculum linked: Yes Group numbers depend on which cave is being explored.
