Grade 5/6 Camp—Alexandra Adventure Resort
Here’s a snapshot of Gr 5/6
Camp—more photos
next week!
Grade 5/6 Camp
It was our first camp at Alexandra Adventure Camp and we were very impressed with the facilies, acvies
and staff. The students had a great me compleng many acvies that were challenging and fun. Many
students were able to share their experiences at our post camp meeng and so many talked about an
achievement that they were very proud to have experienced. It was fantasc to observe the encouragement
they gave each other to achieve success. A week long camp is complex in many ways and we are very
fortunate at this school that our teachers support our camps program. The work behind the scenes is huge
and I thank Mrs U for pu$ng it all together for this camp. Not only for our students but also those from
Highlands PS who joined us and had a great me.
Uniform Shop
We have a new uniform commi+ee of the following volunteers Nikki, Katherine, Maree and Fiona. It is great
to get this organised and share the load. Thank you to Katherine who has been doing this job on her own for
some me.
I have menoned this many mes but sll some students are not wearing correct school uniform. Please note
that ghts and leggings are not to be worn with the summer dress and other coloured long sleeved tops
under the short sleeved shirts is not OK. We have long sleeve polo shirts available. As the weather is ge$ng
cold wearing any hoodie is not an opon. There are plenty of new and second hand uniform items including
winter jumpers, jackets and beanies available at the uniform shop.
Our uniforms are sold at cost price and are therefore are very reasonably priced. Parents can order clothing
items that will be given to your child or yourself once they are paid for at the office or by Bpay. Opening
hours are now Tuesday and Thursday from 8.30 – 9am and 3.00 – 3.30pm. If these mes don’t suit, you can
drop off your order form and payment during the week and orders will be filled on a Monday and then sent
home with your child.
It is Yea PS policy that all students wear the correct uniform and I would appreciate this being reinforced at
home.
Thanks,
Deb
