Re-read the last few pages from yesterday and then continue reading the pages below. I wonder what will happen next in the story. Will the mammoth cause any more mischief? Year 1: Read the pages and answer some of the questions with an adult. (You have books on the list below to read and they have questions with them too if you would prefer to answer those instead) Year 2: Today we are going to read the next 2 double pages from the text. Our vocab words for this week are : notoriously fail scrub heavy-duty Read the pages and answer all of the questions below. Remember to set your work out neatly and use your best handwriting. Mental starter/warm up activity/SPAG/spellings Year 2 Phonics In phonics this week we will be practising two spelling rules. Today we are going to find the words that are on the spelling list for both sets of rules. I have mixed the words into a word search. Can you find all the words on the list hidden in the grid? When you have found each word write it out again on the back as extra practise. Enjoy the word search! Today we would like you to think of another Stone Age animal that needs a good wash. Plan out a set of instructions of how to get them into the bath for a good scrub. Year 1 Draw what equipment you will need and then draw 4 pictures to show how you are going to wash your Stone age animal. Remember today is just pictures for you to use in the next lesson when you will be writing a set of instructions.
