Kenya – Roger Bernardas, Glenda Black Ecuador – Julie Corkett, Blaine Hatt

Access to paper and light may limit how you plan.

Take both full and daybook templates with you just in case.

The real question….Why have we caused you such planning pain for over four years????

The template has helped you understand the complexities of planning and the many interrelated elements teachers must consider.

You have a mental image in your professional behaviour.

You understand the complexities and interrelated nature of the planning process.

While you are teaching up to 50% of the time, this is an opportunity to review and refresh what you have learned about planning in the past four + years.

This form of planning respects the elements of planning while also recognizing the acquisition of the skills and understandings you have developed as a professional.

The format of daybook planning can be tailored to your personal preferences. However, all elements must be included.

• Time• Class (secondary)• Topic• Learning Expectations• Strategies/ Activities/ Materials• Consolidation/ Application• Assessment• Differentiation• Miscellaneous• Reflections

Focus on the success of the learning, not the success of the teaching.

Complete all reflections on the day the lesson was taught.

Your PT Binder MUST be with you and available for inspection by the AT, school principal, and the Faculty Advisor every day.

We’re very proud of you!

Get out there and do good things for kids!
