In this unit you will be able to:

Activity 1: read the following story.

Activity 2: copy the verbs in orange from the story and translate them into

English Then, find the infinitive form of each verb and translate them into English

as well. Read the example carefully.

Example:

Activity 3: read the following questions and choose your answer from Diego,

Patricia or both. Translate the question into English if necessary.

Activity 4: you are visiting Barcelona tomorrow. Write a sentence in Spanish for

each bullet point. You are mainly applying the near future tense here (I am going

to+ infinitive/ Voy + a + infinitive). You may use the green box for help.

Activity 5: read the cultural facts about Barcelona and translate the text into

Spanish.

Activity 6: read the sentences below and decide which is the odd one out of each

set. Give a reason why.

Activity 7: read the text and rewrite it choosing the correct version the verbs in

bold. Verbs like “me gusta” will change into “me gustan” if the object of the

sentence is plural.
