The number on the coin shows how much that coin is worth. Using the pictures below (or real coins) put them in order of value starting with the smallest value. Make some of your own coins using paper. You could also do coin rubbings by placing a coin under a piece of paper and then rubbing on top using a pencil or crayon. The pattern on the coin will appear. Meg has been to the shops and bought some toys. Look at the toys she bought below and how much each toy cost. How much money does each toy cost? How much did Meg spend altogether if she bought two toys? Three toys? Four toys? What coins could Meg use to buy the toys? Meg has been learning the days of the week song. Sing along with Meg to learn the order of the days of the week. Write out the days of the week (or use the labels below) and place in order. What is your favourite day? Why is this day your favourite? Draw/write about your favourite day. Meg has also been learning about the months of the year. Sing “Apple, Peaches, Pears and Plums”. The months of the year are organised in to seasons. There are four seasons in the year. The weather changes during the seasons and so does the world around us. The four seasons are: Winter Spring Summer Autumn See below for a list of the months and which season they fall in. Draw a picture to represent each season. Meg has been learning to tell the time.
