Year 7 Superhero Design TASK Create your own Superhero using your own sketches and Illustrator. RESEARCH Brainstorm ideas for your own superhero Collect images of other superheroes that you are inspired by. Annotate these images what is it about these characters that appeal to you? IDEATION Begin thumbnail sketches of possible designs for your super hero. What special features will your superhero have? Minimum 1 page. Log on to Hero Machine. Experiment with different shapes to create a practice superhero. You may get some ideas about shapes, special feature, masks etc. Save image – print and stick in sketchbook Finalise your design in sketchbook. Scan into Illustrator. FINAL DESIGN Using Illustrator trace over your image, smooth out edges. (Teacher Demo) Save image as a JPG and open in Photoshop Use Photoshop to colour your image. Print final image and stick in sketchbook EVALUATION Write a 150 – 350 evaluation Who is your character? What makes him/her a super hero? Explain how you achieved your final design and what specific choices you made and why. Superhero  Design  

TASK    Create  your  own  Superhero  using  your  own  sketches  and  Illustrator.    

 

RESEARCH
