Employees in the Technical Unit voted 73% yes and the Non-professional unit voted 65% yes! They will join MHSC RNs who are already represented by CHEU’s sister union, the California Nurses Association (CNA). Together, caregivers, RNs, and health care workers will fight for improvements and better patient care. NEXT STEPS • Post-election Meeting (date TBA) • Elect health care workers and hospital employees to the Facility Bargaining Council (FBC), a worker leadership committee • Compile bargaining surveys from all caregivers and health care workers to set bargaining priorities • Elect your caregiver and health care worker negotiating team

On January 21 and 22, workers at Methodist Hospital of Southern California voted to join the Caregivers and Healthcare Employees Union! Employees in the Technical Unit voted 73% yes and the Non-professional unit voted 65% yes!
