MUSIC and DRAMA GLKK CLUB

The l9jd ~lee Club cecbers all obtained robes early in the year auu big plans tor the Spring ~usic Festivals. There were no outstanding programs tor thea to participate in during the usual winter routine. However, they assisted the Draaa Club in presenting an Armistice Day programme which met with great success. ~any old war songs were used which touched the hearta ot all these ~resent.

A Christmas pageant was res !or presentation but waa not given because ot the mumps epidemic.

On April 4th the ulee Club participated in thu Ball titate ~usic Festival. The group sang two numbers. On April 12th they sang at the County Festival at Anderson and also took part in the all county Girls' Glee Club and all county ~ixed Glee Club. A programme of these numbers was given that even­ing from the public.

The usual Spring Festival was given at home and was a great succesa. The music for the Baccalaureate was rendered in fine style. The names of the members are as !ollowsa Mildred Atkinson, Vivian Bear,

The Orchestra CODS!sts of twenty-three members under the direction of Miss Hundley. They assisted in the usual routine ot playa and programs, this year. They played for the Junior play, Drama Club play and the Senior play. In February they opened the meeting ot the Farmer's Institute, aa well as giving some other special programs.

Again this year they were invited by Mr. Palmer to the Ball State Music Festival on April 4th and made a fine showing.

They pleased the parents and school patrons in the Spring Musical when they assisted the Glee Club.

The Baccalaureate services concluded their duties ot the year. The names of the members ot the orchestra are as follows, Opal Hull,

The team this year has had a very successful season. We have won 16 and lost 5 games.

The team this year was coached by Raymond Scott. His popularity with the boys helped in making the team such a good one.

The boys above turned out fine cooperation during the year at all times. Mr. Scott, the school and the community are very proud of them.

Perhaps the outstanding characteristic of our team was its ability to give its best at all times and never was it licked until the final gun.

The team loses this year six players, all being Seniors--Dawson, McMahan, Melling, Johnson, Woodruff, and Stone. The rest of the boys are Juniors and Sophomores.
