Everybody loves chocolate milk, well

at least at YES camp! For young and

old people, it brings lots of memo-

ries. At camp, it’s the hottest thing. Like not get-

ting chocolate milk after waiting in the lunch line

could ruin your day like a pig not rolling in the mud.

The kids who do get their milk, there is something

about them being happy. For campers who don’t

get chocolate milk on any given day are cramped up

in their own mind. For example, campers sharing

boogers on each other when they want attention.

Or becoming the unexpected diva by bursting out

their shell, whining and crying tantrums and boss-

ing others around.

Dear Chocolate Milk Lovers,

To all my divas out there and the ones seeking at-

tention, before you speak, please breathe first. Con-

nect your tongue to your brain, act and think about

your actions to not get in trouble. Just remember to

always be true to your self . Just never EVER take

that too far girlies. Camp is a bully free zone. There

is no room for divas. At camp we are learning about

URGENT, Inc.’s core values where this week we

are working on learning and teamwork. The is no I

in TEAM. And about the booger situation ...yeah…

Don’t Do That.

To all my happy go chocolate milk lovers thanks for

keeping the peace. Like returning camper Destiny

Moore shared that she enjoys “making new friends,

Kulula and hip hop dancing at camp.” New camper,

Hannah De’anzizu thinks camp is “fun because I’m

making new friends and I like theater drama.”

Camp reporter, Hannah De’anzizu interviewed

Anaiaya Ealy who “thinks camp teaches me about

life. I get to meet people from different cultures. I

enjoy arts and crafts because I get to learn how to

make new things.” Destiny Moore

interviewed Asia Up- tgrow who likes

“the activities at camp and the morning cir-

cles with Muti Emily be- cause of the songs and

saying the oath. I made a lot of new friends and I

like my counselor Mzee Devin.”

Sincerely,

Adia Saliha :)

I Am ...

Smart and mysterious to many people

I wonder how my future would turn out, because

the technology will, I hope very advanced

I hear music in my head when ever I get bored

I want a hover board and that will be known for

something in the world or the music industry

Sometimes I pretend I'm in a real

music video on the cat walk strutting my

stuff. I am a great dancer and great at being

independent !!!!

—Sophie Lutz

I am a girl

I wonder when I get free time

I hear a lot of drama

I see people reading

I want to go to sleep

I pretend I care

I feel bored

I touch things

I worry about getting chased by a dog

I cry when I talk about dads

I am a girl

I understand the consequences in life

I say ’’God Bless You’’

I dream about meeting my dad

-Lajoy Eiflaar

I Am

I am a 13 year old girl

I wonder when I will finally grow up

I hear my childhood calling me

I see my old childhood

I want my old childhood memories back, I am a 13

year old girl

I pretend to like my present and ignore my past, I

feel my past but in the present, I worry that I am

growing up too fast, I cry about me being too grown

up, I try to grow up fast when I don’t want to

—Destiny Moore

I am pretty and nice

I wonder about chicken

I hear fries calling my name

I see ice cream smiling

I pretend to be eating chicken

I touch hamburgers

I cry when chicken is nasty

I Am Imagination

I am open minded and undescribable

I wonder about what people think of me

I hear the sounds of my people

I see the others beyond the believers

I want the others to come and join us

I am open minded and undescribable

I pretend to fly into people's hearts

I feels he warmth of the ones I care for

I touch the souls of others and fill it with glee

I worry if my people will turn on me

I cry at the misery of others

I am open minded and undecribable

I understand the people have differences

I say we can all come together

I dream that peace will be made

I try to lift up people's spirits

I hope the trust won't stop

I am open minded and undescribable

University of Miami—campers enjoyed a fun filled

morning with

Ranger Maria

from Biscayne

National Park.

The campers had

an opportunity

learn about the

park with an op-

portunity to make

a mini-park in

small groups.

Biscayne National Park: Build a Park Activity reviews

“We had a lot of fun making

our national park and looking

at everyone else’s park. We

got a lot of glue on our-

selves,” said Beatrice Pala-

cios. Maniyah Wright inter-

viewed Layoy Eiflaar who

expressed that “it was very

cool. [There] was a park with

an ocean and jungle.”
