Penguin Horror Series

Series of Book Covers

A series of book covers taking inspiration from classic

Horror posters. The concept was to use the horizontal

band to split the chosen ‘character’ of each book into two

halves portraying elements of that character.

Cutty Sark Whiskey

Media Kit/ Packaging Design

This media kit relates to the history of the Cutty Sark’s

namesake and figurehead Nanny the witch, featured in

the Robert Burn’s poem ‘Tam O’ Shanter’. The tale is

of a drunken farmer (Tam) who encounters the young

witch dancing in a short skirt, or ‘Cutty Sark’. He

exclaims ‘Weel Done Cutty Sark’ (hence the spelling) in

excitement, before being chased away by the witch. The

media kit’s contents relate to warding off

the witch, with a little dutch courage

for good measure!

Homebase ‘Grow Your Own’ Range

Packaging Range, Infographic Instructions, Branding

Simple, easy to follow packaging to encourage a younger

audience grow their own fruit and veg. I introduced a step

by step approach to the range, created a new logo and

developed a series of illustrated instructions. The ‘steps’

featured in the instructions correlate with product packs

containing necessary equipment for each growing stage.

A poster set illustrating ‘Luck’. Traditional symbols of luck

were used alongside common luck-related phrases and

the resulting images given a Kitsch, aged aesthetic.

Headline

Screen Print Design

Winning entry for a competition run by Urban Outfitters

Leeds to produce a screenprint with the theme ‘Headline’.

I chose to feature an article stating that the popularity

of Burlesque stars such as Dita Von Teese (hence the

spelling) had led to a rise in sales of stockings.
