To All Masters, Instructors and Students;

You are invited to participate in Myung’s 18th Ultimate Taekwondo Championship to be held on Saturday December 9th, 2017 at Saint John Paul II Catholic Secondary School, 685 Military Trail, Scarborough, Ontario. The Event is Sanctioned by Taekwondo Ontario, the Provincial Sport Organization (PSO) officially recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

The Championship’s event will consist of:

▪ Poomsae and Sparring Events▪ High Performance Individual Poomsae competition▪ KP&P system for Cadet, Junior and Senior divisions High Performance Divisions▪ Electronic scoring system for all Colour and Black Belts (U-10, Youth, Cadet, Exec and Rec. Jr & Sr)

Please note that all competitors must be current 2017-2018 members of Taekwondo Ontario.

Registration for Colour Belt & Recreational Black Belt competitors will be $70 for 1 or more event(s). All High Performance Divisions for Poomsae and Sparring will be $80 for 1 event. Each school will be granted one coach pass at no cost. Each additional coach pass will be $20. To pre-register, please submit forms with a certified cheque/money order (no personal cheques) payable to “Myung’s Taekwondo” to the address below or by December 1, 2017. There will be no competitor or coach registrations on the day of the Championship.

All recreational colour and black belt sparring athletes are required to have white WTF style uniform/equipment, helmet, shin & arm guards, instep, groin, gloves and mouth guard. SR & JR /Cadet high performance sparring athletes are required to have white WTF style uniform/equipment, shin & arm guards, KP&P sensor socks, hand & groin protectors and white or transparent mouth guard. All High Performance poomsae athletes are required to have WTF approved poomsae uniform.

A concession stand will be available on-site for sparring equipment, food, snacks and drinks on a limited basis.

SPARRING COMPETITION RULES

Recreational – Colour and Black Belt (U-10, Youth, Cadet, Exec and Jr & Sr) Divisions• Taekwondo Ontario competition rules; Age & weight divisions will be applied accordingly; No Head Contact• Colour Belts: 5 & Under – 2 rounds x 1 min; 6 & up – 2 rounds x 1 minute• All Black Belts: 2 rounds x 1.5 minutes• Ringmaster Electronic scoring system will be used

Each Taekwondo school participating in Myung’s 18th Ultimate Taekwondo Championship will be granted one free coach pass by registering before December 1, 2017. Additional coach passes will

cost $20 pre-registered by mail or email, there is no online coaches passes. There is NO COACH REGISTRATION ON CHAMPIONSHIP DAY! All coaches must be black belts and registered with

Kukkiwon and a member of the Taekwondo Ontario in good standing. No one will be allowed on the floor without a coach’s pass.
