You are invited to The Bellevue Urban Garden (tBUG): Growing Healthy Children and Community Growing Food with Mayors and other Elected Officials In honor of Welcoming Week, we invite the community to join in a day of intercity exchange on the 2.75 acre garden in Lake Hills, Bellevue Find out how we grow food to help achieve zero hunger using climate smart agriculture practices. Learn about the history of the farm-- Duwamish and Puget Sound Salish Tribes, `Farmer John Matsuoka, Japanese (1915-2012), the Cha Family Farm, Hmong, Farmer Maybin Chisebuka, Zambian. Hear about the future vision of the farm as we create locally and globally connected inclusive, healthy, and sustainable communities. ] Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, 2-4pm ADDRESS: Farm is just south of SE 16 th St on 156 th Ave SE. Parking is limited at the farm site area. We have reserved parking at Spirit Ridge Elementary at 16401 SE 24th St, Bellevue, WA 98008 and will have shuttle available to get you to and back from the farm.
