Young Life is following a movement of the Holy Spirit to make an impact on a world of kids. By the end of 2016, Young Life will have doubled its reach, equipping 80,000 leaders in 8,000 ministry areas to meet two million kids every year — all for the purpose of introducing them to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Young Life was made for them.

AREA OVERVIEW

JOSHUA’S

“And how can they believe in the one of whom theyhave not heard? And how can they hear without

someone preaching to them? And how can anyonepreach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How

beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’"

— Romans 10:14-15

Young Life began in Caroline County in 2011. Since its beginning,The Lord has grown the ministry in Caroline County in tremendousways. What began as a single Young Life ministry at the highschool has now grown into three ministries: Young Life with high school students, WyldLife with middle school students, and YoungLives with pregnant and parenting teen moms. These ministries have all seen growth in their attendanceand eectiveness over the past five years. We are working to share the Gospel with the 1,100 high school students and 900 middle school students in the area. Our leaders from theUniversity of Mary Washington and the local communitywork hard to reach our students.

I became involved in Young Life my freshman year of high school, but really began to see how transformative it can be in the lives of kids when Igot involved as a Young Life leader in college. I was a freshman at the University of Mary Washington and looking for a ministry that wouldallow me to reach folks for the Gospel and also work alongside high school students. I found that in Young Life. Over my past four years as aleader at Massaponax High School, I have watched hundreds of kids begin and cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus. I have gotten to walkwith and disciple six dierent high school guys and have been truly blown away with the ways that God uses this ministry to advance HisKingdom. I will be continuing my work with this ministry in Caroline County, Virginia, and am so excited to see the ways in which The Lord usesthis ministry to transform the lives of individuals in the community.
