GLOBAL COMPACT NETWORK NETHERLANDS (GCNL)
was established to join forces and contribute to
creating a world that is more sustainable and social.
To realize the Sustainable Development Goals
(SDGs), INNOVATIVE, YOUNG LEADERSHIP is
needed. Therefore, we have started a Young
Professionals Program, AND WE WANT YOU!
YOU CAN EXPECT FROM GLOBAL COMPACT:
NETWORK CONNECTIONS, inside & outside Global Compact
GUIDANCE and assistance during the program
Approval of Project-plan
Physical workspace in the Malietoren, The Hague
Kick-off day: organized by GCNL, with an interesting program,
including an introduction of the Global Compact, the relationship
between the UN and SDGs and guest speakers.
Mid-way evaluation day and end evaluation day.
A LEARNING EXPERIENCE, with evaluation moments.
BUT, WHY SHOULD YOU BE A PART OF THIS PROGRAM?
Gain new insights & experience working in multidisciplinary
teams across the border of the organization through a targeted
project, and add value to society.
Experience a meaningful OUT-OF-THE-BOX experience
Learn to cooperate with other organizations and provoke useful
contacts, which can facilitate future partnerships
Work with the young professionals that are selected by the
largest companies in terms of sustainability, and BE INSPIRED!
HAVE FUN and get to know each other through working
together, company visits, and through social drinks and
activities.
As graduate of the program, you will receive a certificate.

We are looking for you!
WE EXPECT FROM YOU to work on a project with your group for
one day per month for one year. Together as a group of young
professionals from member companies of GCNL, you will work on a
HIGH-IMPACT PROJECT, related to the SDG-agenda. Set your own
goals: what do you want to achieve? Together with GCNL you will
develop a realistic but also ambitious project plan. Your group can
work on a project plan, for example on one of the issues below:
1. Set up an event at a company within GCNL aimed at
strengthening the implementation of the SDGs in the supply
chain.
2. Find out if & how the SDGs have been implemented at
organisations within the network, followed by an event or a
research/report.
3. Provide insight into SDG implementation tools & examine how
they are currently being exploited in the network.

THE GOAL of the Young Professionals Program is the acceleration of
realizing the SDGs and to create a WIN-WIN situation for businesses,
young professionals and Global Compact Network Nederland.
