NEED TO KNOW
● Upon arrival, all kids must sanitize their hands. Kids age kindergarten and up must wear a mask.
● As kids check in, only one designated adult volunteer should touch the check-in screen.
● If there are 10 or more kids in your room, split them into groups of 10 or less. Kids must stay in these groups for the entire hour, including while they watch videos. Kids can play with sanitized toys designated for their group until starting the first activity.
● Kids should only use sanitized toys and supplies. Remember to put your used supplies wherever your site has designated to collect materials that need to be sanitized.
● All videos will be played on a Youtube playlist that can be watched on a projector screen, TV, computer, etc. Find the Youtube playlist here: KC Site Lesson Playlist (Younger)

Connect with kids by reviewing today’s story, and engage them with hands on play and crafts.
Watch a video to hear today’s Bible story and worship God with singing and dancing!
Spend time connecting with kids as they play and do an activity. This week is all about Christmas!

PREPARE
● None
For younger kids:● While in line, tell the kids that they’re going to hear a story about a very special announcement. ● Then practice “announcing” in silly ways! Lead kids in repeating/doing the following actions after
you:○ Turn around backwards and say, “I have good news!”○ Stand on one foot and say, “I have good news!”○ YELL, “I have good news!”○ Sing, “I have good news!”○ Dance and say, “I have good news!”○ In a deep voice say, “I have good news!”○ In a high-pitched voice say, “I have good news!”○ Whisper, “I have good news!”
For older kids:● Play a Christmas-themed game of Simon Says! Give kids the following words to act out, and say
“Simon Says” before each command. If you don’t say Simon, kids should stay still.● Christmas tree, candy cane, rocking baby Jesus in your arms, snowman, sledding, ice skating,
falling snowflakes, shooting star, snow angel, unwrapping a present, decorating a tree.
ACTIVITY | 5-10 minutes
● Free play: Connect with kids as they play with sanitized toys and materials for 15 minutes.
● Clean Up: Clean up and get ready for the first activity. (Clean up idea: slowly countdown from 10 to 1 until kids have cleaned up their toys.)
● If kids are in kindergarten or older: remind them to stay in their small group area and wear their mask for the whole hour.

For older kids:● WHY do celebrate Christmas?● How did Jesus arrive into the world?● HOW can we celebrate Christmas?● What’s your favorite thing about Christmas?
REVIEW THE STORY | 5 minutes
● Crayon Set (1 per kid)● Christmas Bingo game board (1
double-sided page per kid)● Deck of Christmas Bingo cards (1 deck
of 26 cards per room)
ACTIVITY | 10+ minutes
Christmas Murals● Draw giant Christmas trees and snowmen! Lay out two large sheets of tear off paper,
each approximately 7 feet long. Draw a Christmas Tree shape on one paper, and a snowman shape on the other.
● Set out crayon packs and let kids work together to decorate and design the tree and snowman however they like.
Christmas Tree and Snowman Sorting● Set out the tree and snowman murals on the floor. ● Shuffle up and spread out the Christmas tree cards and snowman cards on the
tables. Let kids look through all the cards and sort the tree cards onto the tree mural, and the snowman cards onto the snowman mural.
● Once you’re done, throw away large pieces of paper and snowman/tree cards.● Let kids do a coloring page and activity sheet if there’s extra time.

Christmas Bingo!● Give each kid a Christmas Bingo game board and a marker. The leader should hold
the deck of Christmas Bingo cards. They will choose a card, call it out and show it to kids, so they can see the image.
● If a kid has that Christmas image on their board, they can mark it off with an X. The kid (or multiple kids) that fills up their board first, wins! Kids can turn their board over for a second round. Reshuffle the cards to play again!
