Effective August 31st, WMU will be closing its Punta Gorda campus.

We are disappointed, but not from the lack of effort and commitment

by the Board of County Commissioners, staff, the business

community, the Punta Gorda Airport, FSW and WMU.

The EDO is continuing its effort to expand our aviation industry as we

move forward with the Aviation Airframe & Powerplant Mechanics

Certification program to provide the future workforce needs of the

county’s 12 (and growing) aviation businesses.
