This event is slated to take place July 28, 2012 on the campus of University of St. Thomas at Jones Hall located at 8910 Yoakum. With this letter, we encourage your participation and support of our unique event. Seven arts organizations – including Dance Source Houston, DiverseWorks, Fresh Arts (Spacetaker + Fresh Arts Coalition), Houston Arts Alliance, Houston Theater Alliance, Southwest Alternate Media Project (SWAMP), and Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts (TALA) – are hosting this event to connect over 400 Houston-area arts organizations and individual artists of all disciplines with professional development opportunities including: fund development, housing, marketing, audience development, health insurance/services, as well as capacity and resource-building. In order to serve the largest audience possible, the event will be free and open to the public. Although each participating service organization provides specialized programs and services, the Houston Arts Resource Fair marks the first opportunity to build greater awareness of these offerings and to cultivate an interconnected network of artists, service providers, and collaborators in the creative community. Attendees will arrive on conference day eager to learn and connect with experts, service providers, vendors, and colleagues able to facilitate fulfillment of their missions and artistic goals. As a sponsor, you will be invited to attend the event while gaining access and exposure to the wide spectrum of creative, dynamic individuals and groups shaping Houston’s cultural scene. Your (or your company’s) financial contribution will help underwrite the cost of the Fair, with the significant reward of visibility in the community. With your sponsorship, you will reach an expansive audience of artists and arts supporters – all benefitting from your generosity. An extensive media campaign by all participating organizations hosting the Fair will also ensure maximum exposure for your business. Your generous support and sponsorship will be matched by the following: $5,000 Level Sponsor Corporation name (and logo inclusion) on website and promotional materials Sponsorship recognition during Houston Arts Resource Fair’s opening address An opportunity to introduce two programs and their respective speakers Booth space to display products or services Event signage recognizing contribution Acknowledgment in program materials Opportunity to host kick-off and/or closing reception Made possible in part by a grant from the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
