Overview: Blue Prism Academia ProgramBlue Prism Academia Program is part of Blue Prism University, Blue Prism’s effort to spread RPA knowledge and capabilities around the globe.

This program enables instructors at academic institutions to deliver authorized Blue Prism courses in a variety of settings. Students can jump-start their career and RPA knowledge with coursework through a global network of colleges and universities, and through online certification opportunities, hands-on labs, and other Blue Prism learning resources.

Who can apply?

Students

Blue Prism training and certification opens doors to a rewarding RPA career. Blue Prism certifications will continue to be in high demand as more companies automate their processes and move to RPA platforms. By earning Blue Prism certificates, students stand out from their peers.

Eligibility:

• Students who are actively enrolled at an eligible institution (Graduation and Post-Graduation College or University or nonprofit)

• Accredited, degree-granting education institutions worldwide that offer two, three- or four-year programs (or equivalent)

Educators

Blue Prism educators are the heart of the Academia program. You will help us prepare your students for in-demand jobs and certification exams. As an educator, you will be connected with other educators and invited to many professional development opportunities to learn new technologies and best practices. Even more importantly, you’ll be aligning your students with a global community of RPA developers, mentors, advocates and other students excited to be learning in-demand skills.

Eligibility:

• Full or part-time instructors at an eligible institution

• Educators should attend instructor led training and should pass the post training assessments to become a certified educator

Institutions

Blue Prism Academia Program is an educational program focused on building the RPA skills of undergraduate and post graduate students. We provide resources for educators who deliver authorized Blue Prism courses.

NOTE: Blue Prism Academia Program are not intended for non-academic purposes, such as training institutes, corporate IT staffs or delivering for-profit training to professionals.

Eligibility:

• Accredited, degree-granting higher education institutions worldwide that offer 2-, 3- or 4-year programs (or equivalent)

• Career or technical schools offering accredited degrees or certificates through in-person or distance education programs and online universities

Lab EnvironmentBlue Prism provides multiple ways to access our flagship connected-RPA software to help you become familiar with Blue Prism. You can deploy Blue Prism at your university in two ways:

Learning Edition

What you get:

• A feature-limited installation of Blue Prism

• A free (renewable) 90-day license

Device requirements *Only on personal computers or devices :

• Intel Processor

• 2GB RAM

• Minimum 10GB free disk space (after install of Operating System and standard software)

• Windows 8.1 (64-bit) or 10 (64-bit)

• .NET Framework 4.7

Training License

What you get:

• A feature limited installation of Blue Prism

• A free 12 months license

Device requirements and preparation *Only on personal computers or devices:

• x64 Intel Processor (minimum 1.4 GHz, ideally 2.0 GHz or faster)

To support Learning Edition users and institutions with Training Licenses, we provide free access to our product documentation, training materials, and learning communities through Blue Prism University and other support services.

Installation Steps

Step One Install SQL Server Express 2016 or 2017 in all the systems (free version here)

Step Two Install Blue Prism v6.2 > x64.msi for local training from the Blue Prism University Portal > Product > Previous Releases (here)

Step Three Install foundation training setup from the Blue Prism University Portal > LMS > Blue Prism Foundation (Training Section 1: Foundation Training Setup Guide)

Step Four Coordinate with Blue Prism Academic Alliance Manager to receive training license

How to Apply?

StudentsStudents interested in the Academia Program should complete and submit the Student Information Form. Someone from Blue Prism will follow-up with you within 5 working days.

Students wishing to learn RPA but who are not associated with an eligible university should enroll in Blue Prism University—available right now, for free! It’s an easy start and you can progress at your own pace. (Visit The Blue Prism University Portal)

EducatorsIf you are an Educator interested in teaching RPA at your institution, there is no reason for you to wait. Please complete and submit the Educator Information form. Someone from Blue Prism will follow-up with you within 5 working days.

After You Apply:

For InstitutionsInstitutions must implement and adhere to the following commitment and requirements for Blue Prism Academia Program partnership:

• Institutions must be approved by Blue Prism to be part of Academia Program.

• Institutions must accept the Non-Disclosure Agreement upon joining our program.

• Institutions must comply with Blue Prism copyright, marketing, and privacy policies as well as complying with all applicable laws.

• Institutions must ensure hands on access to our lab activities in line with course guidelines to support skills-based learning and evaluation.

• Institutions must also ensure students are completing all the course modules.

• Institutions must assign at least two educators who will serve as the main contacts for Blue Prism regarding operational tasks, general communications, and feedback.

• Institutions must ensure that their instructors successfully complete training and certification exam prior to teaching that course.

• Institutions must ensure that all students taking the class are enrolled in Blue Prism University portal and use our Learning Management system to go through the course modules and self-evaluation.

• Institutions must manage their own educational quality by reviewing their students’ success.

For EducatorsEducators must implement and adhere to the following commitment and requirements for Blue Prism Academia Program partnership:

• Educators must understand lab activities needs for the curricula associated with instructor training courses they complete.

• Educators to assist with lab setup.

• Educators to act as first point of contact in need of operational assistance related to academy and course management.

• Educators to build awareness to increase understanding and usage of new and helpful resources and tools.

• Educators to provide a program orientation to their students.

• Educators to assist their Board of Studies team to align with Blue Prism Academia Program courses.

Blue Prism Academia Program PoliciesThe policies are mentioned in the Non-Disclosure Agreement. All instructional and administrative staff at Blue Prism Academia Program participating institutions should be familiar with the policies applicable to their institution.

Note: Joining Blue Prism Academia Program and accepting the appropriate agreement indicates a binding commitment to adhere to the policies set forth in this document. Information in this document is subject to change.
