THREAT LEVEL: 4 [Economic patriot score: 50)

There are adversaries that do not want America to be energy independent. Petroleum has been at the center of geopolitical conflict for a century. In the future, oil will continue to have both cause and effect to the biggest economic matters we face. The U.S. is currently winning this economic war!

A. OIL DRIVES ECONOMIES – The bubble in oil prices of 2008 was a contributing factor in the great recession and market crash. It impacts the global balance of wealth. At $125 per barrel or higher, OPEC’s oil reserves were deemed more valuable than all the world’s financial assets prior to the market crash of 2008.

B. WARS ARE FOUGHT OVER OIL – Energy has been at the center of geopolitics for decades including WWII, The Cold War, and Post Cold War. An abundant U.S. energy supply is critical to protecting U.S. national security and economic infrastructure.

C. OIL PRICES CAN BE MANIPULATED – It is not just free market pricing at work. While supply and demand are factors, oil industry executives, traders, economists, suppliers, and regulators have stated prices can be manipulated. Examples of oil price manipulation include supply constraints, Saudi Price War in 2014, and Russian anti-fracking efforts.

D. ENVIRONMENTAL NARRATIVES ARE NOT ALWAYS ABOUT CLEANER AIR – “Russian

attempts to influence U.S. domestic energy markets by exploiting social media.” – U.S. House of Representatives Majority Staff Report March 1, 2018

Recent intelligence reports show that Russia is interested in influencing more than just America’s elections. Russian President Vladimir Putin and his cronies have taken aim at undermining the U.S. energy industry.*

*INTELLIGENCE: PUTIN IS FUNDING THE ANTI-FRACKING CAMPAIGN

BY DREW JOHNSON ON 1/29/17 AT 9:10 AM Newsweek

Media revelations indicated that Russian operatives, “intent on exploiting existing divisions and social movements in the United States,” had in fact sought to influence U.S. energy markets by exploiting American social media platforms . . . Moreover, many of the Russian-linked accounts targeted “highly visible tension points” in America, including “protests against pipelines.”

E. LACK OF UNDERSTANDING OR INTENTIONAL? There are Americans willing to sell out to Russian narratives. “Oleg Kalugin, the one-time head of counterintelligence for the Russian KGB, told Eyewitness News that it was no problem to find Americans who were willing to sell out….The environmental movement was also targeted for KGB infiltration, he says, with the simple message that the best way to preserve nature was to work against the system that would exploit it for profits.” https://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/exclusive-interview-with-former-kgb-agent-part-2/79154491

F. ADVERSARIES WANT THE U.S. AND OTHER DEVELOPED ECONOMIES TO BE DEPENDENT ON FOREIGN ENERGY. Russia, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia and others base almost their entire economy on oil and gas exports.

In 2014, intelligence information led then-NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen to conclude that Moscow conspired with environmental groups to block fracking activities in Romania, Lithuania and Bulgaria. INTELLIGENCE: PUTIN IS FUNDING THE ANTI-FRACKING CAMPAIGN BY DREW

JOHNSON ON 1/29/17 AT 9:10 AM Newsweek

“Russia, as part of their sophisticated information and disinformation operations, engaged actively with so-called non-governmental organizations -- environmental organizations working against shale gas -- to maintain dependence on imported Russian gas,” said NATO secretary general Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

G. FRACKING HELPED SAVE AMERICA’S ECONOMY!: Net energy imports fell to there lowest levels in 35 years. We can supply our own energy needs and not rely on hostile countries. Before we were forced to do business with OPEC. Today, we can supply ALL of our own needs and support our allies. Without the U.S. shale revolution, we would have $200 per barrel oil. At this price we would see significantly higher unemployment, and potentially a depression, or great depression. The American frackers are heroes in helping prevent this from happening. It is an entrepreneurial revolution that is helping the U.S. win the economic war!

Energy is a key component to your lifestyle, way of life, and your money. America needs to be energy independent to protect our national security and economic freedom.

Economic War Room - Energy Independence, Foreign Interference, Shale Revolution, and US Energy Dominance.

• If you have a 401K, pension, or mutual fund, it is likely your portfolio includes energy/oil.

• Almost everything we consume has oil - your pharmaceuticals, clothes, plastics, electricity are all made with oil.

• Our agriculture relies heavily on oil to produce our food.

• In a worst-case scenario, those who control energy oil/gas win wars. (The Germans lost WWII at the Battle of the Bulge)

• Without the shale revolution and drilling, oil would have climbed to $200 a barrel resulting in major economic turmoil or collapse.

ENERGY AS AN INVESTMENT – Look for Part Two of this Segment – Episode 04

Remember, small ships make a difference. You can invest in

energy infrastructure that helps strengthen America.

• Understand the challenges and opportunities of energy revolution

• Understand upstream, midstream, and downstream energy opportunities

• Continue to stay open to new energy innovation and sources

• Technology is getting better and better to get even more oil extraction

ENEMY TACTICS AND OPERATIONSIn addition to foreign social media efforts and manipulation, U.S. adversaries leverage ways to work around elected representative and through regulations that circumvent Congress and your voice.

EPA “Sue and Settle”

From US Chamber of Comme

“As an example, between 20

09 and 2012, EPA chose not t

itself in over 60 lawsui

groups. These cases resu

EPA publishing more than

100 new regulations - i

How many of these are fr

Economic Patriot Action Plan:1. Go to CRTV Facebook watch (Click Here) and share this information. Build your Economic Patriot status.

2. ASK your Congressional representative about where they stand on energy independence. If they are talking too much about

the environment. Vet your candidate and beware of Congressional compromise through D.C. think tanks that drive legislation

can influence policy.

3. Beware of “Sue and Settle.” This was ended under the Trump administration but it is still an active threat.

4. Celebrate American ingenuity and the independent frackers that have revolutionized America’s energy.

5. Continue to focus on investments that drive energy innovation and efficiency. Energy is critical to our economy and we all

want a clean environment. Look at what natural gas is doing to help drive clean, value-priced electricity.

6. Care and Share! Better educate America on the threats ahead. Learn. Recruit more patriots to the Economic War Room.

Thank you for accepting this mission. Together, we will make a difference!

Shareable Fact: As evidence of just how crazy the anti-energy crowd has become, a new UN Report suggests carbon pricing of $240 gas tax to fight Global warming in the year 2100. While not likely, they are proposing a $49 per U.S. gallon gas tax by 2030. (Intergovernmental Government on Climate Change 2018)
