OUR PEOPLE
Bill is based in Jakarta and has over 35 years’ experience (the past 20 years in Indonesia) as a Geologist and Manager in open cut coal mining. He has experience in Indonesia, Australia, the Philippines and New Zealand and has held senior positions from Mine Superintendent (PT Kaltim Prima Coal, PT Darma Henwa) to General Manager (PT Bahari Cakrawala Sebuku, Noble Coal Indonesia and PT Runge Indonesia). Bill is a Member of the AIG, AusIMM and under the Australasian Code for Reporting of Identified Mineral Resources and Reserves (2012 JORC Code) and is considered a “Competent Person” to validate statements for Coal Resources. In recent years has been signatory to most of the major Indonesian coal projects.

PAUL WESTCOTT | ChairmanPaul’s professional expertise is in the design, planning and costing of open pit coal mines, and he has had considerable Indonesian exposure to a large number of mines operating with different equipment and seam configurations. He has worked on over 100 different open cut coal mines. Paul is a Fellow of the AusIMM and he is a “Competent Person” as defined in the JORC Code and has signed many JORC Statements. In addition he has significant experience as an “Independent Technical Expert” and has prepared or had input into many Due Diligence, Valuation and IPO reports. A particular strength is his ability to grasp the ‘bigger picture’ by comprehending the key technical and economic issues, and opportunities that impact on a project’s value. He has 40 years of hands on mine planning experience with extensive overseas experience.
