What to expect on your breakMost of our breaks are in caravans atUK seaside sites run by Haven orButlins.

These sites are large with shopsand plenty of activities for adultsand children.

You can take your break anytimebetween March and November. Fordetails of dates, please read thevoucher that your welfare agenthas given you.

When you arrive, you will be givena free entertainment pass to useat the site, but this may not coverall the activities you want to try.Saving up a small amount eachweek towards your break couldreally make a difference towardsthose extra activities and treats on holiday.

fridge-freezer and microwave.

c Two, three or four bedrooms,each sleeping two people, plusa fold-out bed in the lounge.

c Shower room and toilet.

c Lounge with seating area, TVwith DVD player.

c Duvets, pillows and bed linen.

c Cot and highchair (please askyour welfare agent to request this).

c Fire extinguisher and smoke alarm.

By law smoking is strictly forbiddenin all caravans.

c Make sure you getpermission from school assoon as possible using theletter provided. Don’tforget to book time off workand find care for your pets.

c Ask your welfare agent tolet the charity know if youhave any special requirementssuch as disabled access or a cot and highchair.

c Try putting a little money aside each week in amoney box, even if it is just a few coins.

c Make sure a family member or friend knows whereyou are and has contact details for emergencies.

c Plan how you’re going to get there and back again.Think about what time you will need to leave thehouse, how you will get to the train station and tothe site at the other end.

c Write a list of everything you’ll need topack and how much money you can spendon each day of the holiday.

v What happens if we can’t go?Ask your welfare agent to tell us immediately ifyou can’t go on your break. We have a long waitinglist and could give this break to another family. Pleasereturn any vouchers or payments.

v How will we get there?You need to make your own travel arrangements.Please check the best route before your holiday. Werecommend taking your break within easy travellingdistance of your home.

Some sites are easy to reach by public transport, othersmay require a combination of train, bus and taxi. If youare travelling by public transport, book as soon as youcan for the cheapest fares. For information contact yourlocal bus or rail stations or:
