Youth Board

Application

What it takes to be a Youth Board Member: Youth Board members are high school students (Sophomore through Senior) who are interested in becoming more involved in their school and community. Through participation on the board, students learn about many different organizations that exist with the help of the must! charities. Board members bring back to their school peers and community organizations information they learn through the various volunteer projects and other opportunities for youth.

Youth Board Mission Statement: (Our mission statement will be voted on at our first meeting in September 2015)

Responsibilities of a Youth Board Member: (Please initial next to each responsibility)

Attend meetings on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 6:30-7:30 PM.

Attend and actively participate in volunteer service projects in the “off” meeting months.

Email, text, Facebook, or call if I must miss a meeting for an excused reason such as an illness, extracurricular activity, school event, or family function.

Commit to not miss more than 4 meetings/volunteer activities per year (there are 9 total).

Serve in a liaison role to their respective schools by recruiting new Youth Board members for upcoming years.

Do my best to fulfill the responsibilities and expectations of an active Youth Board Member.

I have read and understand the must! youth board description.

I understand that sometimes I might be exposed to confidential information whether when out volunteering or in a presentation of information given to me as a must! youth board member, and I will keep that confidential information to myself if asked.
