Ethically Scaling Up

- Why not more people? → bigger is not better

- 5 YEI’s in a row, 14-15 s tudents

- UCSC providing reparations as a land grant s chool and HSI

- 88% of our budget went to room and board - (Budget - UCSC) / 14 people = $71 per person /

5 days = $14.2 per day per person

- Cultural competency of camp counselors

Scaling up : How do we balance the quantity vs. quality of project impact?

● For YEI, should there be a focus on a broad or deep impact? ● How do you quantify impact of a qualitative experience?● What did you learn about yourself through your project?
