ABOUT TTCAS

Vision MissionTo benefit society with future leaders who have been trained and brought up with traditional Kung Fu values of Martial Virtue.

Enriching the lives of youths by introducing them to art, music and cultural programs that build character, self-esteem and spirit.

PHILOSOPHYThree Treasures operates with traditional Kung Fu values of honesty, respect, and helping others. Because of our martial arts background, we have become a jewel in the community and strong symbol of strength and high morality. We impart these values to our students throughout all our diverse programming. Students are encouraged to overcome adversity as well as improve their mindfulness and awareness.

WHAT IS THREE TREASURES CULTURAL ARTS SOCIETY SUMMER YOUTH MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?More than just a “daycare” where kids are simply just dropped off, we team up with parents and educators to provide a positive environment that not only offers difficult to find programs but also strives to develop character. Our dedication to building a student’s three treasures of mind, body, and spirit make us effective allies for all the parents.

WHO ARE THE STAFF?The staff are selected based upon their unique skill sets. What they all have in common is a shared passion for working with children and teaching their areas of expertise. Our staff is comprised of dedicated undergraduates as well as experienced adults who come to us from esteemed universities such as San Diego State, UC Davis, and UCSD.

STAFF SELECTION AND TRAINING PROCESSOur staff are required to be First Aid/CPR certified, TB tested, as well as submit to an FBI background check. Once hired, our staff are trained on how to work with children in the areas of structure, instruction, and problem solving. To make each new hire truly unique to Three Treasures, they are taught specific skills such as Abacus, Chinese Chess, and so on. These skills build upon the skill set they bring on their own. New staff begin as Youth Mentor I and then advance to Youth Mentor II after at least 6 months of continuous work. Each school site is lead by an Assistant Program Directior who works directly under our Program Director, Cathy Trang.

Through friendly competition, students will develop confidence at their own pace rather than be force fed to keep up with other kids. We will offer more competitive leagues in the near future for students who excel and are ready for the next level of competition.

BasketballTuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m.A: $130 B: $200 C: $220

Our basketball program will start with individual skill building that will lead to better team play. Ball control is a major focus of this camp as well as shooting, passing, and one on one defense. As players progress, more sophisticated drills and strategy will be introduced. It is our intention to progress the players to the point where we can schedule live games.

Flag FootballMondays, and Wednesdays: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.A: $90 B: $135 C: $155

We are excited to introduce this fast paced sport into our stable of programs. Flag football offers all the benefits of football without much of the drawbacks such as head or bodily contact. Players will learn individual skills before progressing onto team skills. Fundamentals include how to line up properly, rules of the game, and scoring. As players progress, we will introduce more advanced concepts and skills.

SoccerTuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays: 2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.A: $130 B: $200 C: $220

This is a great sport for kids who either have never played a sport or are seasoned veterans. Players will be separated by age and skill level so they are training with players of equal experience. Ball control is a major focus of this camp as well as learning what each position on the field does.

TennisTuesdays: 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.A: $60 B: $90 C: $110

Get your child started on a sport that they can play throughout their life. Fundamental training begins with proper grip, stroke, and footwork. Players will drill their serves, ground strokes, and volley until they feel comfortable with them. Beginners will play half court tennis before advancing to full court play. No experience is necessary but your child will need to have their own racket as we cannot provide that at this time.
