"YOUTH'S MEMORIES BOX" PROJECT 2015-2-RO01- KA105-015435

The project “Youth’s Memories Box” 2015-2-RO01- KA105-015435, financed by European Comission, through Erasmus+ program, is implemented for 9 months, from 1st August 2015 to 30th April 2016 by 2 promoters- Asociatia Act Integration, from Drobeta Turnu Severin, Romania and the Youth department of Council of Albacete, Spain. The project budget is 9740 euro.

The youth exchange activity took place in Brebina, Baia de Arama, Ponoare, Herculane and Drobeta Turnu Severin, in Romania, between 12th-22th December 2015 and proposed in the 10 days a non-formal travel/journey in European youth style of living from the 1940s to the contemporary time in XXI century.

Our main motivation was: to provide 18 young people, accompanied by 2 leaders, coming from both rural and urban area, from our local communities, the opportunity to meet other young Europeans, and to be the starring actors in the project.Project’s objectives

to increase self-knowledge, self-consciousness and self-awareness of youth and to create new learning opportunities for them

to enhance the ability to understand the reality of young people from different periods and countries and learn what separates and what unites young Europeans

to improve solidarity and cooperation with vulnerable groups to create "Youth’s Memories Box" containing 5 drawers –1 family- gastronomy and

habits, 2 fashion, 3 leisures- music, sports, games and other hobbies, 4 education, 5 citizenship

to promote the "Youth’s Memories Box" as a European cultural, educational and social tool

to develop the spirit of initiative and creativity among young people, creating "Magazia Kultural+"We consider that living every “year”- the 40’s, the 50’s, the 60’s, the 70’s, the 80’s, the

90’s-2000 and the XXI st century, the youngsters have the chance to learn from the experience of their family, of local citizens, to compare and exchange points of views on the various main themes concerning youth life and youth problems, to see how they and every generation contribute to the development of their community and society, to make difference between what is good or bad, to go from the individual reflection on a general point of view.

The project has the capability to enhance the ability to understand the reality of young people from different periods and countries and learn what separates and what unites young Europeans (the volunteers learn and compare youth lifestyles from each other country, they are more tolerant and more open to accept the differences, they debate opportunities of education, culture, entrepreneurship, development for youth in Europe).

The project is constructed so the participants can live always in the present, to do not regard the time as past.

The methods used were presentations, non-formal games, living library, photo, audio-video and Internet studies, investigation and documentation in the families, local people and archives, in museums. The volunteers worked “learn by doing”, will work in group, peer-to-peer, individually, in teams.

The inter-cultural and intergenerational activities, the meetings and workshops were source of valuable non-formal lessons for youngsters. They practiced old dances, with the villagers from the traditional folk group Lilac from Ponoare, they learnt to cook bread without oven, with “test”, Romanian, Spanish and international musical evenings were organized.

The participants brought copies of pictures, selected songs, dances, talked with the family members, friends, prepared presentations, receipts and stories they considered representatives for

Activitatea de schimb de tineri a avut loc in Brebina, Baia de Arama, Ponoare, Herculane si Drobeta Turnu Severin, Romania, intre 12-22 decembrie 2015 si a propus, in 10 zile, o calatorie non - formala in stilul de viata al tinerilor europeni din1940 pana in perioada contemporana, in secolul XXI .

A doua parte a schimbului de tineri a continuat intre 18-22 decembrie, in Drobeta Turnu Severin.

Collage is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole. A collage may sometimes include magazine and newspaper clippings, ribbons, paint, bits of colored or handmade papers, portions of other artwork or texts, photographs and other found objects, glued to a piece of paper or canvas.

The word comes from the French coller, meaning "to glue".
