There are many ways to use your YTB program to produce a constant source of revenue through travel. But, the most obvious is one many miss or fail to capitalize on―the internal travel for your organization!

Almost all organizations travel for business purposes, many on a regular basis. Whether you’re going to con-ferences, fundraising trips, or group travel, all of this can produce cash-back revenue for your organization, but only if you book it through your travel website.

To maximize the fundraising potential of your travel program, make sure all of your staff members involved with booking travel know to book travel on your website.

To help announce this exciting travel tool we have prepared an internal memo to use as either an email or as a hardcopy handout that can be distributed during staff meetings. The file is a Word document that you can download and customize for your organization. You can download

the file at: www.ytbassociations.com/resources/memo.doc. Your Staff members and volunteers are generally your most ardent supporters. In addition to the internal travel of your organization, make sure they know to book their personal travel through your travel website, too.

Air + Hotel = Higher CommissionsA little known trick of the travel indus-try is to book your airline ticket and hotel room together to get a lower rate on the hotel room. But, did you know that you also significantly increase your commissions on your airline ticket with this combination?

Since 9/11, airlines have paid a smaller commission than those paid by hotels. But, book them together and increase the commission paid on air substantially.

So, next time remember to select the air + hotel button on your travel website.
