In March of 2006, we completed all requirements and became Faith Harvest Helpers
(FHH). In March of 2015, we became YWAM-Faith Harvest Helpers (YWAM – FHH). In
March of 2016 YWAM-FHH purchased 30 acres in South West Olympia for a new base.
YWAM - FHH is a faith based, non-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in the
Pacific Northwest. Our local focus consists of food banks located in Lacey, WA and in
Redmond, OR. We receive surplus fish from the State of Washington which is distributed
as frozen fillets through these food banks and other local feeding programs. We also
receive salmon from the Pacific Northwest Tribes, which is canned and shipped to those
in need around the world. We are dedicated to those in need locally and abroad
through missionary organizations.
During 2016, we had three YWAM-FHH workers / supporters (Michael Keely, John
Stocker, Jim-Mike Ames) go to be with the Lord. In the summer of 2016, a week-long
review of the vision, mission, and purpose statements was conducted with the staff. In
August the staff began the YWAM Secondary School of Biblical Studies (SBS), a certified
school of the University of the Nations.
I would like to thank the board and our volunteers for their many hours of selfless
service.

Introduction
Founded in 2006, YWAM Faith Harvest Helpers (YWAM-FHH) has been gleaning food for
many years, to provide food to five counties (Thurston, Lewis, Grays Harbor, Pierce and
Mason) in Washington and Redmond, Oregon. Located in Thurston County,
Washington and operated by Christian believers, YWAM-FHH gleans food that would be
otherwise wasted and provides it to feeding programs, food banks, and ministry
outreaches. YWAM-FHH is run on volunteer power and donations. We are a mercy
ministry organization that responds to the hunger needs of Washington, Oregon and
globally to those in need. Since 2009, we have also developed a canning operation
providing canned salmon from the Native Americans for the hungry of the world.
Volunteers are encouraged to help for an hour or two, a day, a week or a month!

Board of Directors
Paul Shorb – President/Executive Director In 2009 Paul became director of Faith Harvest Helpers. For 20 years Paul has led outreach teams from Faith Assembly to Gleanings for the Hungry Youth with a Mission (YWAM) base. Paul is currently the base director for the newly formed YWAM-FHH, located in Washington. Charlie Beukelman – Vice President A successful businessman and entrepreneur, Charlie founded Truss Components of Washington and later Truss Components of Central Oregon. In 2006 he envisioned Faith Harvest Helpers and presented the idea to Richard and Paul. Charlie is a certified USDA/FDA canning supervisor. Kevin Beukelman – Secretary/Treasurer Kevin co-founded Shelfari, a reading community site, which was
purchased by Amazon in 2008. Kevin is a YWAM alum with training and
service in Argentina. He is currently a software engineering manager at
Remitly a digital remittance startup.
Miles Musick
For over 38 years Miles Musick, founder/director of New Beginnings
Homes, has served women who are facing unexpected pregnancies
with shelter, mentorship, adequate nutrition and access to medical
care in order to help prepare them for their futures.
Fritz Meier Fritz serves as Director of Gleanings for the Hungry which is a Christian
non-profit gleaning organization located near Fresno California. It
operates as a mercy ministry arm of YWAM.
Jim McGatlin Jim and his wife Joy serves as a mission builder with YWAM- Mission
Builders Internation located in Lakeside Montana. He also serves as a
board member on many non-profit boards.

Washington. We are
moving forward with
developing the property
and moving all of our
operations to one
location. It is so exciting
to see the growth and
the fruition of His vision
to us coming to pass.

Food Bank Ministry
True Grace Church Food Bank
5516 30th Ave Lacey, Washington 98503 Our YWAM – FHH Food Bank located at
True Grace Church in Lacey,
Washington distributed over 74,115
pounds of food to just over 14,150
individuals; including 185 Thanksgiving
and Christmas Baskets.
Thurston County Food Bank
Our food bank at True Grace Church,
formally Faith Assembly of Lacey, is a
satellite for Thurston County Food Bank.
We distributed 1304 pre-bagged
assortment of groceries.

Fish Ministry
Washington Department of
Fish and Wildlife donated
21,773 pounds of whole
salmon and steelhead in
2016. Approximately 30% of
that was waste.
We were able to distribute
15,241 pounds of
fresh/frozen fillets through
our food banks and other
area food banks and feeding programs.
The Nisqually Tribe generously donated 5,650 pounds of whole salmon to us this year.
Approximately 30% of that was waste. We
were able to preserve 3,955 pounds of
salmon.
The following is a list of where that salmon
was distributed.

School of Biblical Studies

which students observe

let it shape their beliefs.

Missionary Support
YWAM-Faith Harvest Helpers supports two additional ministries located in Guatemala
and South Africa. These ministries provide income for those who otherwise would not
be able to support themselves. We are very happy and blessed to be able to partnering
in this way.
Guatemalan Bolas
Working with Proyecto Fe, and missionary Pam Chevalier, we purchase these exquisite
works of art which are hand-made by Mayans in the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala.
Families are struggling to live 5000-7000 feet high in the volcanic, Western Guatemalan
Mountains, some in homes made of corn stalks. We sell them at events, bazaars and in
stores across the country. They are also available in our gift shop. The proceeds help
approximately 100 families.
Justice Dolls
Dave & JoyLynn Landshut
The Justice Doll is a job creation program, restoring hope and
dignity to African women suffering with HIV/AIDS. We believe
all individuals have a voice! The justice doll seeks to identify
and raise awareness of issues of Injustice, which aim to
mobilize people to action. The justice doll is a powerful
expression, representing your voice.
Like the bolas, we sell the justice dolls at events across the
country and in our gift shop.
