To join the year-long YWLC program, start by signing up for the Summer Conference, a 6-day leadership program specifically
designed for high school girls. Students will learn first-hand about what it means to be a leader, a social entrepreneur, a peace-builder—a well-rounded globally minded individual.
Each day they will hear from expert speakers and will engage in interactive team-building activities, and have the opportunity to create their own project, called the Take Action Challenge (TAC). The
TAC will enable students to use their leadership and critical thinking skills to experience first-hand in a real world setting what it means to start a project with a vision, a goal, as well as fundraising,
marketing, and communication. Students will have 10 months to complete their TAC.

YWLC is a year-long program composed of a summer conference, fall and springworkshop, and access to programs and events throughout the academic year which are designed
to empower high school girls to become leaders, global citizens, and social entrepreneurs.
With over 100 alumni since 2012, every year YWLC seeks to give high school girls tangible life-skills as they transition to higher education, and the workplace. We emphasize the importance
of leadership, team-work, dialogue, self-reflection, and critical thinking. YWLC is broughtto you by The Pangea Network, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering
women and communities in the U.S. and Kenya.
