    Dear Friends,

It is an honour and a pleasure to welcome you to the EUROCITIES Culture Forum in Zaragoza.

We are particularly proud to offer both a venue and - we hope - an inspirational atmosphere to work on Integrated Cultural Cooperation, following the strands of exchange, mobility and coordination.

Our efforts have born fruits and we are able to offer EUROCITIES fellow members the opportunity to meet next November in our city.

I hope you can join us and will take back with you ideas and insights, and a memorable time in Zaragoza.

I look forward to seeing you,

    Yours sincerely,

Juan Alberto Belloch Mayor of Zaragoza

A city opened to the world A privileged enclave and one of the main Spanish cities, Zaragoza is today in an unstoppable process of transformation and thriving development thanks to the successful organization of the Interna tional Exhibition 2008 and its election as headquarter of the Inter national Secretariat of the United Nations for the Decade of Water (2005-2015). Our city aspires to become one of the main cities in the South of Europe and to be a referent in innovation, modernity, sustainable development, and culture. All this turns Zaragoza into a great partner for many European cities as well as the rest of the world for promotion, collaboration and cooperation affairs. We invite you to visit Zaragoza, a city where you will be welcomed and will experience some unforgettable moments. It is a trip to four cultures (Roman, Christian, Mudejar and Jewish), in spirit and in over two thousand years of history that have left their mark on its streets. Come to Zaragoza, you will be amazed by what it has to offer!
