    Higher Speed

    Robust frame structure

Hollow reed holder Offset rocking shaft

Higher speeds are attained because of the ZAX9200’s robust frame structure, stable weft insertion, optimized shedding mechanism,

    and well-balanced beating structure.

    4

    ■ Clear sheddingThe beating stroke is shortened and thedriving parts that are the most essential forthe weaving machine to run at high speedare additionally reinforced. By placingthe heald frame as close to the cloth fellas possible while keeping the sheddingamount, the shedding angle is increasedand defective shedding is reduced. Dueto this, stable operation at high speed isattained compared with our conventionalmodel.Tsudakoma's optimized designs for thebeating stroke and heald frame operationtogether with improved mechanicalelements achieve 5% or more reductionin electrical consumption. (Compared with the ZAX9100)

    ■ Reduced floor vibrationUsing CAE analysis, Tsudakoma designeda new robust f rame s t ructure . Byemploying the offset rocking shaft withless moment of inertia and a hollow reedholder, beating is well-balanced. Floorvibration can be reduced.

    ■ Soft weft insertion at high speed

    P r o v e n b e n e f i t b a s e d o n a c t u a loperation. A 4-link beating motion thatworks excellently at ultra-high speed isused for narrow looms. A 6-link beatingmotion with more time allowancefor weft insertion is used for widerlooms, thus achieving more stable weftinsertion.

    Wider Versatility

    ■ APR Automatic defective Pick Remover

When the loom stops due to a defectivepick such as tip trouble or bent pick, theAPR automatically removes the defectivepick and re-starts the loom. Efficiencyis improved and loom assignment peroperator is increased.

    ■ WBS Weft Brake System

The WBS sharply reduces the peak tensionthat occurs at the end of weft insertionin order to prevent weft breakage andlooseness. This system is best for extra-wide weaving which invites higher peaktension. It is also helpful for yarns whichmay cause broken picks. Tsudakoma’sunique pullback function equipped withthe WBS system reduces tip troublesdrastically. The WBS contributes to stablehigh-speed operation and fabric quality.Automatic setting is available through theNavi-board.

    8

    ■ 8-color weft selectionThe FDP-AIII free drum pooling systemis superior in responding to high-speeds.Its advancing reel system separates weftyarns positively and is useful in weavingeven long hairy yarns like worsted yarnswithout difficulty. The ZAX9200 canweave a much wider range of wefts. It stabilizes insertion with less yarnbreakage even at high-speed weaving orextra-wide weaving.Optional weft selection up to 8 colors isavailable.

    ■ i -WBS Weft Brake System

By adjusting the braking force to the weftaccording to weft insertion conditions, energy saving is attained and brokenpicks are reduced. Stable weft insertioncontributes to high ef ciency and qualityfabric weaving.

    ■ PSC Programmable Speed Control

Up to eight kinds of loom RPM can beindependently set. Formerly the loomRPM was restricted in case of difficultweft yarns. The PSC automatically adjuststhe RPM to the optimum for each yarnkind. Thus, productivity is dramaticallyincreased. The loom RPM is changedwithin one pick.

    ■ 3-eyed feelerThe 3-eyed feeler, a reflective sensor, detects any colored spun and filamentyarns ensuring stable weft insertion. Thisfeeler does not require a special reed foreach reeding width.

    ■ 6-link crank sheddingBy increasing the number of links fromfour to six, a dwell angle is given forlower shedding.Due to this, there is a tension differencebetween the upper and lower warp sheetsat beating.Higher pick density is realized comparedto the 4-link crank shedding.Weaving range is expanded from poplinto broadcloth.

    9

    ■ ZTN Needle-less Tuck-in device

Wefts are tucked in the edge by air, instead of a tuck-in needle. Adjustmentcan be done without interferencebetween the reed and a tuck-in needle. No wear or failure of mechanicalparts is generated and maintenancebecomes easier. The tuck-in device canbe adjusted by entering values on theNavi-board. Fine tucked selvage can beformed easily.

    ■ ZT Tuck-in device

    ■ CCL Catch Cord-LessThe weft entered in the stretch nozzle iscaught and held by an ejector mouth andis cut by a selvage cutter for several picks.Catch cords are not required, reducingconsumption in resources. No problemsabout catch cords occur and operabilityimproves.

    Smart Ecology

    ■ EPL Electronic Planetary Leno motion

The planetary leno selvage motion isdriven by the exclusive servo motors thatare independent on the right and left. The shedding timing and the rotatingdirection of the planetary gears can be seton the Navi-board. Free positioning of thebobbins during maintenance improvesoperations.

    ■ EIS Electronic IndependentSelvage motion

There are fewer consumable parts thanthe conventional mechanical motion.High speed is available. The sheddingamount, the shedding timing, and theshedding pattern can be set on theNavi-board. The EIS is user-friendly andversatility increases. (Patented)

The ZAX9200 can run with various kinds of shedding motions. With a wealth of optional devices in addition to its full basic performance as a loom,

the ZAX9200 can weave a wide range of fabrics using multi-colors, high-density, high-tension, or fancy yarn.
