Design is a fast moving, trend-orientatedneccessity for every potentially successfulproduct. We are experienced in workingclosely with marketing departments to createtarget-orientated products which fulfill thecriteria for specific market requirements andexpectations.

Design doesn’t just make products practicaland functional. It is fashionable. The life-cycle of a product is determined not only byits construction and quality but more oftenby its styling.

This product was designed as a multi-functional tool catering to the needs ofpeople involved in the maintenance of Wibitinflatable products. The inflatables use specialindustrial air valves and so we designed aproduct that can open and close as well asremove valves. As a little extra, we added awrench function for opening hard-to-openshackles.

We specifically chose the polymer POM(Polyoxymethylene) which would withstandthe pressures and strains involved with sucha product. Red was our specified colour sothat the product would be easier to find ona beach or pool side.

We live in a society which is saturated withproducts of every kind. In order to stand outfrom the rest, innovation in design is ofexistential importance.

With the Twister packaging for Stabilo welooked at the way the pen product could bestored and accessed better using less spaceon the desk. The result encourages childrento keep their pens orderly, bringing fun intousing an established product that has beenon the market over 40 years.The Twisters’ simple two-part mechanicalconstruction and ergonomic, contemporaryform guarantee an “AHA!” effect every timeit’s opened!

Ergonomics play a vital role in designdevelopment whether it’s a pen that feelscomfortable in the hand or a machine witha user-interface in exactly the right position- the science of man-machine interactionplays a key role in the development ofsuccessful products.

Having designed many different productsover the years we have gained the advantageof cross-over knowledge i.e. we can usegained experience from one area andimplement it in another, whether it beergonomics, manufacture or even marketing.

Designers

Precision is vital in the latter stages of thedesign process. Depending on the needs ofour clients we provide 3D data which formsthe basis of tooling data. This eleviates lossof definition in the design which can becaused by ideas being misinterpreted by anengineering department or manufacturer.

We don’t just supply STEP files for toolproduction. We care about the splines andcurves, split-lines and draft angles whichinfluence the quality of a design hugely.

We lay great importance on getting suchdetails right so that nothing is lost in thecommunication between design andengineering stages.

Precision and accuracy are synonimous forproducts made-in-Germany. We would liketo think that “Designed-in-Germany” alsocarries weight in the ever saturated marketof design offers.For products used in extreme conditions itis of vital importance that each componantdoes it’s job 100%. In the case of thesecommunication products for Police andservices, form truly follows function. Theengineered aesthetic is derived purely fromits function which has a desirability andindividuality of it’s own.The PTT button is one of a series of productswith a high specification and standards suchas IP68.

For Wibit Sports we have designed manyproducts which are used on and off the water.These products are part of a modular systemwhich allows further development andrefinement of each individual product andprovides endless possible park variations.

We have also been involved with the technicalside of each product - refining the connectionsystem, all in all, creating new ways ofenjoying the parcour-on-water experience.

It providesa logical and homogenous identification inrelation to other products from the samebrand.With the SIVO range of drawing utensils forHPL we developed not only a new brand andstyle guide but were also involved in theindustrial design development designing rulers,sharpeners, erasers and packaging.
