Program
Products & Technology – Ultrasonic Flaw Detection
Line scanning of Pipelines – A-Scan – Measures the change in
Thickness of pipelines.
– B- Scan – Two Dimensional section of a pipeline walls along with the thicknesses
– Can be used to check Wall thickness Linearly and along the Circumference.
– Very effective in knowing the overall condition of pipelines as it considers the inner as well as external thickness.
– Uniform Detection of Pits and Uniform Reporting
Features & Benefits
• Comprehensive , Accurate and Faster than conventional UTM.
• Powerful software for analysis of data.
• Can be done while sailing, Hence no disruption of operations.
• No need to open flanges at any end.
• Small size of Probe to measure most pipelines.
• No loss of contact, owing to the attached water pump providing a constant couplant
• Minimum Thickness Alarm
• Color coded View of Scans for identifying Critically Thin areas.
• Automatic generation of reports
• Cost effective over PIGS and ROV's
• Can measure over bends ( problem for PIGS and ROV's ) .
• More accurate and versatile than UTM , PIGS and ROV‘s.
