How to Install and Use the ZenKey AppYour carrier has a unique ability to identify and protect your mobile identity. ZenKey uses this ability to convert your wireless carrier’s network into a secure conduit between you and your favorite apps and websites. This results in an easier and more secure way for you to create, log in to and use your accounts.

Step 3

Download your wireless carrier’s ZenKey app, if it’s not already on your phone. Select “Get Started” to initiate setup, then agree to the Privacy Statement and Terms and Conditions.

Authenticate with your carrier if you have an existing account, or else create a new carrier account.

Verify your basic data attributes (this is the information to be shared with your selected third-party app and online service providers) and create your ZenKey PIN.

The setup process verifies the link between you, your phone and your carrier. Your carrier will know that you’ve set up ZenKey, but ZenKey’s main features will not be activated until you connect a third-party app or website to it. Your PIN is securely stored, and you may need to enter it if a third-party app or website wants extra security or if you need to set up your ZenKey account again.

The first time you register or log in to a third-party app or website with ZenKey, you will review the data that the app would like to receive from you. Once you approve, you can log in easily with no password.

The third-party apps and websites chosen by you are listed in the "My Services" section of your ZenKey app, where you can review each app's privacy policy and manage your consents.

ZenKey works with third-party app and online service providers pre-approved by ZenKey, so you will have a consistent account registration experience across third-party apps and websites. Your carrier tracks the information you have agreed to share with the specific third-party app or online services provider.

Step 3

Select the “Sign In with ZenKey” button on the supported third-party app or website.

You may be asked if you really want to log in.

Based on the security requirements of the app or website, you may be asked to provide an additional factor, such as a biometric authentication or your ZenKey PIN.

When you log in with ZenKey, the third-party app or website confirms with ZenKey and your wireless carrier that it’s your device and that there has been no suspicious activity in your account. Your carrier confirms you have provided consent and sends an authentication to the third-party app or website to log you in.

When you’re attempting to perform a high-value or high-risk transaction after login, your third-party app or website may perform another authorization.

Select the ZenKey button to authorize the transaction.

Your carrier confirms you have provided the consent for the supported third-party app or website. Your carrier pushes an authorization notification to you through ZenKey, and once you confirm, you can complete your transaction.
