SHENZHEN News Network Media Co. Ltd. is trying to build an ecological circle of communication comprising a content-based core circle, self-circulation-assisted channel circle and auxiliary circle sup-ported by capital, technologies, talents and brands.
The company was listed June 26 on the National Equi-ties Exchange and Quotations, also known as New Third Board, a securities exchange for small and medium-sized entities, making it fi rst listed media company supported by a traditional print media group and integrating digital media businesses with a news portal in Guangdong Province.
The company announced its strategic development plan for the next two to three years at a press conference yesterday, vowing to build its circulation circle by expand-ing WeChat fan groups, redesigning the self-media platform @Shenzhen and shifting the role of Shenzhen Forum, the BBS column of www.sznews.com, from information-based to interac-tive service-oriented.
“In the future, mobile Inter-net will be the major battlefi eld for the new news circulation strategy,” Lan An, president and editor-in-chief with the company, said.
“Being listed on the New Third Board is a major step for Shenzhen News Network Media Co. Ltd. in developing
the strategy of building an ecological circle of communi-cation,” Lan said.
Ji Shulong, chairman with Shenzhen News Network Media Co. Ltd., signed strategic cooperative deals with Tencent Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Univer-sity of Science and Technology Shenzhen Research Institute, Shenzhen Consumers’ Council, Shenzhentong Co. Ltd., and Shenzhen Ningyuan Science and Technology Shareholding Co.
Liu Wenbin, head of Shen-zhen’s culture system reform and development offi ce, said the listing of Shenzhen News Network Media Co. Ltd. is a major step in the development of media convergence and a result of the Shenzhen Culture
Innovation Development 2020 Action Plan.
Shenzhen News Network Media Co. originated from Shenzhen News Network Devel-opment Co. Ltd., the operator of www.sznews.com, a Shenzhen news portal website established in 2002.
The website now has outlets in 10 districts and new areas in the city. Its self-media service platform has more than 200 accounts and app terminals serving more than 22 million fans, according to the com-pany.
In December last year, Shenzhen News Network Devel-opment Co. Ltd. was renamed Shenzhen News Network Media Co. Ltd. and acquired a new operation license from the Cen-tral Government.
