Curricular Development
1. Created the new finance class “Fintech”, first offered in Spring 2017
2. Created a brand new graduate elective for finance students on “Big Data Financial
Analytics”, first offered in Spring 2015.
3. Co-developed the M.S. in Business Analytics (started in Fall 2014), now with over 1,000
enrolling students.
4. Developed the online class for Advanced Business Analytics (MIS6334 OW1), first offered
in Spring 2014.
5. Developed the SAS Certificate program in Business intelligence and Data mining in 2007, it
was the 2nd such program focusing on analytics in the U.S (after North Carolina State).
6. Created MIS6334, Advanced Business Analytics with SAS in 2008, the second most popular
graduate elective at UTD (with 500+ students in total enrolled in 2017).
7. Created MIS6324, Business Analytics with SAS in 2007. It is the most popular elective class
at UTD, with more than 700 students enrolling each year.
8. Developed the graduate class "Information Technology in Business: A Digital Innovation
Perspective" at Shanghai Jiaotong U. (Spring 2012).
