Zodiac, the annual cultural festival of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology has been a pioneer of joviality and an axis of culture. The thing that sets Zodiac apart from other festivals is the devotion of the students working for it and their sheer will to produce the best. It is a festival where, sharp intellectual engineering students, take a three-day break from their daily curriculum to indulge into a fiesta of live music, enchanting and enriching exhibitions, workshops and competitions. From shows by renowned artists like Sherley Setia, Vishal Dadlani, Tochi Raina, Kailash Kher and many more to the intra and intercollege sports, cultural and technical events gain a lot of attention and participation from students all over Mumbai. Zodiac expands its horizon every year. The workshops, exhibitions and competitions we provide help in the all-round development of a student helping them excel in their fields and develop further. Being a youth festival, Zodiac strives to target the youth with socio-cultural issues. With social initiatives like blood donation and clean-up drives we strive to help preserve and improve the environment and our society.

The title might suggest a beauty competition, but it was a showcase of

cultures, talents and personalities. The competition was divided into three rounds.

First, the contestants performed their talents in front of a panel consisting of

professionals. Artistic talent wasn’t the most important criteria. In second round,

contestants had to demonstrate their states’ traditional culture followed by their

introduction. In final round, contestants had to inspire the audience and judges

with their emphatic responses in Question & Answer round.

Clash Royale is a multiplayer game where two participants play against each

other using their smartphones.

This is similar to above mentioned event while the only difference is this is

played between four players.

4) Mini Militia Solo:

Mini militia is a multiplayer game where four participants play against each

other.

5) Mini Militia Team:

This is similar to mini militia but includes the battle between two teams each

team containing four players.

6) Ludo:

Ludo is a multiplayer game where four participants compete against each

other.

Zodiac Nights

ZODIAC is the Cultural Festival of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology which

held for Three days in the Month of March. This Festival has three night which are

as Follows:

fashion show nights and made the event a grand success. Different judges from

teachers of RGIT gave a fantastic dance performance. All the performers gave an

enthralling performance and kept the crowd on their feet.

2) Concert Night (2nd Day) Raghu Dixit

One of the most famous artist of our country, RAGHU DIXIT was invited to

perform at RGIT. It was indeed one of the most memorable night for all the

Rgitians as MR. RAGHU DIXIT made everyone dance to his tunes as he sang all of

his best songs to keep the audience on their feet. Even the principal could not

resist dancing to his music. Mr. Raghu was beautifully supported by his crew when

it came to playing the instruments. It was indeed one hell of a night. The night

ended with Mr. Raghu cutting the cake to celebrate the 25th year of Zodiac along

with the principal.



3) EDM Night (3rd Day) Siana Catherine

Famous DJ SIANA CAHERINE came to RGIT to make all the Rgit’ians dance to

her tunes. She started off with many great EDMs and the crowd went mad and

everybody were grooving. All the HODs and even the Principal all were in a jolly

mood and were dancing with the students. The night ended with Siana cutting the

cake as it was her birthday and all the student council members were dancing on

the stage. Clearly the final day of zodiac will be one of the best nights to remember.

CONCLUSION

Overall there were 35 events conducted with most success for each event.

ZODIAC had a footfall of more than 2000 students and from more than 20 colleges.

ZODIES and THE DEBATE were a great attraction. RGIT SHREE and RGIT GOT

TALENT had a record number of participants from outside college with students

from all over Mumbai. Many new fun events were added this ZODIAC all of them

being successful. The Performance of ‘The Great Raghu Dixit’ was awesome. Many

People from the different Corner of city had enjoy it Live. Siana Catherine

Performance was really very good.
