of Union died April 8 at home.Born in Newark, Mrs. Cosi-

mano lived in the Vailsburg sectionof Newark and in Maplewood from1973 to 1999, when she moved toUnion. Before retiring, she wasemployed as a food service workerwith Seton Hall University, SouthOrange, from 1971 to 1986. Mrs.Cosimano was a past member of St.Church's Church Rainbow Ciub,Maplewood, and the MaplewoodSenior Citizens No. 1.

Born in New Providence, Mrs.DiMuccio has remained a Summitresident for most of her life. Sheworked as a parking attendant forthe city of Summit for 20 yearsbefore retiring in 2001. Mrs.DiMuccio also worked as an assis-tant dietician for the Kent PlaceSchool, Summit, for more than 20

Golden Age Club of Summit, andwith her late husband, DominicAntonio, was a longtime volunteerfor the Summit Republican Party.

Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Dulembalived in Linden since 1951. He wasan Army veteran of the Korean Warand served with the 3rd InfantryDivision. Mr. Dulemba was a sher-iff's officer for the Union CountySheriff Department in Elizabeth for

31 years and retired in 1991. Dur-ing his employment, he was arecipient of two commendationawards, a distinguished service cer-tificate and two commendation let-ters. Mr. Dulemba was a member ofthe Police Benevolent AssociationLocal 600 and Police BenevolentAssociation Local 108. He also wasa member of the Honor Legion ofPolice Departments of New Jerseyand the Polish Legion of AmericanVeterans Post 91 of Elizabeth.

way died on April 1.Born in Norfolk, Va., Mrs. John-

son resided in Linden before mov-ing to Rahway three years ago. Shewas the supervisor of reception forthe Essex County Prosecutor'sOffice for 20 years. Mrs. Johnsonalso was an administrative assistantfor Runnells Specialized Hospitalof Union County, BerkeleyHeights.

Surviving are a son, Terence,and three sisters, Selena Hayes,Roslyn Turner and Jocelyn Wilkins.

Elizabeth MartucciElizabeth Ann Martucci, 78, of

Linden died April 5 at home.Born in Elizabeth, Mrs. Martuc-

ci moved to Linden 55 years ago.She was employed by Direct Photo,Roselle, in costumer service for

many years before retiring in 1996.Mrs. Martucci was a communicantof St. Theresa of the Child, Linden.

Surviving are four daughters,Linda Koester, Janice and PatriciaMartucci and Kristine Martucci-Kwiakowski, and a grandchild.

Born in Bebington, Cheshire,England, Mrs. O'Brien came to theUnited States in 1954 and lived inBayonne before moving to Rahwayin 1960. She was a graduate of HullTeachers College, Hull, England.Mrs. O'Brien was employed by theRahway Board of Education as aspecial education teacher in Roo-sevelt School for many yearsbefore retiring. She was in chargeof the Rahway Special EducationSummer Program for many years.Mrs. O'Brien was a member of theARC of Union County.

She was a member of the 6thWard Democratic Union, Rahway,where she was a past president.Mrs. O'Brien was a committee-woman for the Union CountyDemocrats. She was a foundingmember and volunteer for UnionCounty Performing Arts Center andwas a founding member of NewJersey Performing Arts Center,Newark. Mrs. O'Brien served onthe Rahway Welfare Board formany years.

before moving to Springfield. Sheco-owned Trans Travel Inc. and theTour and Cruise Connection, a trav-el agency in Springfield and ShortHills, along with her late husband,Selig, and their son, Arthur.

Mrs. Weinberg was an ardentsupporter of the State of Israel andactive in Dorot Zion, Hadassah andPioneer Women. She volunteeredfor the Kidney Foundation formany years.

Also surviving are another son,Joseph; four grandchildren, andthree great-grandchildren.

James WelshJames William Welsh, 87, of

Summit died April 6 in Morris-town. A memorial service will beheld Saturday morning at the Uni-tarian Church, Summit.

Mr. Welsh was a graduate ofMorristown High School. Hereceived a bachelor's degree fromPratt Institute, New York. Mr.Welsh obtained many patents in theelectro-mechanical and automotive

multi-fuel fields. He was the presi-dent and founder of Welflash, Inc.,Linden, manufacturing directionalsignals. From 1969 until his retire-ment, Mr. Welsh developed newproducts for Standard Motor Prod-ucts, New York.

Surviving are his wife, Marie; ason, Jonathan; a daughter, LaurieJoffe, and three grandchildren.

died April 4 in the Cornell HallNursing and Rehabilitation Center,Union.

Born in Newark Mrs Williamslived in Union for many years. Sheworked at Picatinny Arsenal andretired 30 years ago.

lived in Linden for most of his life.He served in the Army duringpeacetime. Mr. Zdziarski was amember of the Linden City Demo-cratic Club and past president ofthe 8th Ward Democratic Club. Hewas a license inspector for the cityof Linden and retired in 2000.

Surviving are his wife of 47years, Barbara; two daughters,Debra Quevedo and Jacqueline DosSantos, and two grandchildren.
