RESOLVED, that the Board of Education, upon recommendation of the Superintendent, approves thefollowing workshops:
WHEREAS, N.J.A.C. 6A:23B-1.1 et. seq. requires that each board of education adopt a formal policy andprocedures relating to travel and expense reimbursement for its employees and board members; and
WHEREAS, the School District of the Hoboken Board of Education (the Board) adopted a TravelExpense Reimbursement Policy that addresses the reimbursement of travel-related expenses by Boardmembers and employees of the District; and
WHEREAS, the Board has considered all other relevant guidelines and circulars associated with theadoption of its Travel Expense Reimbursement Policy; and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the travel listed in this Resolution is educationally necessaryand fiscally prudent; and
WHEREAS, the Board has concluded that the travel and expense reimbursement listed in this Resolutionare directly related to and within the scope of the employees current responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the travel and expense reimbursements listed in thisResolution are for travel that promotes the delivery of instruction or furthers the efficient operation of the
school district; and

SUBJECT: APPROVAL OF ARCHITECT OF RECORD
RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education approves a contract renewal for the professionalservices of Mount Vernon Group Architects, Inc., Newark, New Jersey as Architect of Record for theHoboken School District for the 2013-2014 school year in an amount not to exceed $75,000.00.
NOW BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this professional service contract was originally procuredthrough a fair and open process pursuant to P.L. 2005, c.271, for the period beginning July 1, 2012 andending June 30, 2013 to Mount Vernon Group Architects, Inc., Newark, New Jersey at the rates set forthin the Statement of Qualifications, but not to exceed $75,000 except as expressly authorized by the Boardthrough a subsequent duly adopted resolution. The Board publicly advertised for Requests forQualifications on April 30, 2012 in the Star Ledger and were received by the District by May 17, 2012.The District posted this notice on its website throughout this period, under Architect. WHEREAS, the Hoboken Board of Education, at the June 25, 2013 Board meeting, did appoint the firmBusiness and Governmental Insurance Agency (BGIA), Woodbridge, New Jersey/Brown & BrownMetro, Inc., Florham Park, New Jersey as the Insurance Risk Manager (Insurance Consultant and Brokerof Record for General Liability Insurance) for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.

WHEREAS, the Insurance Consultant and Broker have secured competitive quotations from various
insurance companies in order to obtain the best prices for said student accident insurance as detailed intheir report to the Board and reviewed by the Board Finance Committee,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education hereby approves therenewal of the student accident insurance with Bollinger, Inc. effective August 1, 2013 through July 31,2014;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the rates of renewal shall be as detailed in the above referencedInsurance Consultant and Broker report to the Board, and
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that said renewals shall take effect on the dates indicated.

SUBJECT: APPROVAL TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE HURRICANE SANDY NEWJERSEY RELIEF FUND INC.
RESOLVED, that the Hoboken Board of Education accepts a grant award of $819,000.00 from theHurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund Inc. to implement the Digital Divide project, the goals of
which are to support education and learning by merging student instruction and technology through,amongst other things, the provision and deployment of updated and integrated classroom displaytechnology and hardware and software distribution to instructors. The estimated effective dates for thisgrant are August 1, 2013 through August 31, 2014 with the following disbursement schedule:
