• For some English Language Learners, the FAIR-K may not be an appropriate instrument. However, unless English Language Learners arrived in the United States in the last 30 days andand have sufficient difficulty speaking, reading, writing, or understanding the English language, they should be screened.
• Monitoring features have been added to the Progress Monitoring and Reporting Network (PMRN) for School Districts to track the level of completion by their schools.

• Public schools who do not use the Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading – K (FAIR-K) for progress monitoring ONLYONLY need to administer the Early Childhood Observation System™ (ECHOS™) andand the Broad Screen of the FAIR-K.
