Open Parent Night this Thursday 12th September
Classes will be open between 5:30pm and 7:00pm with a performance by our choir at 7pm in the undercover area to wrap up the evening. Our Kindy will also be opening their doors from 5:00 – 6:00pm. Please note that the Year 3 classrooms will not be open on this evening as the regular teachers are on leave and they have already hosted an open morning for parents. The Library will be hosting a Technology display under the guidance of Mr Emery.
Tim Winton – WA Schools Narrative Writing Competition
Awards were recently presented to students of schools who received commendations for their terrific narratives. Here at EFPS Isabel De Sousa was one such student. Her “Message in a Bottle’ story is included in the newsletter. Great work Isabel!
Naplan Results
Year 3 and 5 parents can now pick up their child’s individual 2019 NAPLAN Report from their classroom teacher. This is similar to the end of term reports release policy at our school.
Sunsmart Policy; Hats
With Spring arriving and warmer days already here it is time to re-introduce our ‘NO HAT NO PLAY’ rule. From this week students will have to have a school hat to be able to play in the playground. The uniform shop is well stocked with school hats which you can order online.
Connect concerns/correct email address
Please contact Sonya Gilmore if you have any questions or concerns about your connect log in. Please also advise the office staff if your email address has changed. Please see the attached Connect Flyer included in this newsletter. We have also attached a parent flyer with detailed step by step instructions.
Crossing Guard
It is with sadness that we inform our community of the passing of our crossing guard, affectionately known to all by first name Gary. He has helped many East Freo families safely across Marmion St for many years. He will be missed.
No canteen lunch orders for Athletics Day
As we are hosting a sausage sizzle on Friday 20th Sept for our Athletics Carnival, the John Curtin canteen will not be taking online orders. We encourage all students to jump online to our P&C website to order their delicious sausage sizzle.
Cross Walk Rules
Please walk your bikes and scooters and no bouncing balls when walking across the road.
Warm Regards,
Geordie Robertson
