FI Project Updates Session (draft)
• Future Internet Research Overview– Lixia Zhang– Someone from Europe
• Cutting-edge service roll-out– Cisco, Huawei– SK Broadband, KT, NTT?, Telefonica?
• Talks on FI platforms– Bin Liu– Nick Feamster– Seung-Jong Park– KyoungSoo Park/Sangjin Han
Some Issues (from Student Session PC chair)
• How to encourage students to actively participate?– More awards: best poster, best audience as
well as best paper and best presentation• How to encourage students to present the
work on “Future Internet” rather than what they are working?– Emphasize this point in CFP and paper review
• Do we hope students to present their initial ideas or completed papers?– This is a school, not a conference. We should
help students to complete their papers from initial ideas.
