Meet, Greet, and EAT — TODAY!Yep, it's BACK! The Holy Smokes BBQ Mission Cel-ebration is back! This event is family-friendly andfinger-licking good!

On Sunday May 27th, not only will you enjoy thebest food SHPC has to offer and not only will youand your kids play till you are exhausted and notonly will you meet folks fromboth services but you willalso get to meet some ofour MANY mission part-ners from all over Austin.Be inspired by their storiesand join their efforts! Agreat way to eat, meet and greet all around!

Kayaking on Lady Bird Lake / June 6th

We did this last year and enjoyed it so much, weare doing it again. This is a trip especially for se-niors — easy, gentle water. This year, we will pad-dle west to view the mansions above LadyBird Lake. Meet at SHPC at 9:15 tocarpool. Cost is $15 perperson. We slowed him down longenough to get him to say hello… see if youcan, too!Hey! My name is WesArmstrong, and I'm20 years old. I wasborn here, in Austin,and have been amember of SHPC forabout 8 years. Igraduated fromBowie High School in2010, and since thenhave pursued a ca-reer in music with my band Edison Chair.Besides music, my other passion in life isworking in youth ministry. I've been a vol-unteer for 5 years at the church and haveloved every second of it. I look forward tobeing the Student Ministry Intern andgaining experience in a career path I'minterested in following. I look forward tomeeting those of you I don't know andgrowing my faith as a part of our churchfamily.
