Resumen ejecutivo
1130730_C&GBS_Results

– Apple is the brand most often mentioned in general, by country and by economic sector where those who responded work

– Possibly due to the high participation of people in Spanish, two of its brands are in the Top 15: Zara and Loewe
– Luxury is losing its presence among the cool brands; referential status is achieved in other ways
– Despite being cool brands, people accept that they have to be seen to work on sustainability and corporate social responsibility issues
– The most pronounced gaps between the cool brands and that of the places where people work are related to what the brand promises, the communication and the relationship between internal and external audiences when they are living the experience
– Those who work in area related to branding are more critical when they describe the experience that their companies propose

Buscamos determinar dos cosas…We sought to determine two things…
5130730_C&GBS_Results
Which is the coolest brand experience?
What and how is the difference between cool experiences and those that promote the brand of the company/institution where the daily work is carried out by each of the participants?
Pero… ¿Qué es una experiencia “cool”?
But…What is a cool experience?…
6130730_C&GBS_Results
Product brands and/or services can be cool by virtue of seeing a necessity or prevalence in a person’s life; they are able to anticipate and surprise, and continue to surprise, as do, for some people, Google or Amazon
Reconocimiento espontáneo... Emocional Unaided awareness... Emotional
7130730_C&GBS_Results
The most important aspect of this survey could possibly be that the question of the coolest brand was left open; there are no predefined brands to be voted on
The reason it continues to be done this way is because the brand's unaided awareness speaks about the experience one has with a determined brand, while aided awareness makes the person remember aspects related to the brand communication, especially those associated with audio-visual advertising
• proporciona recuerdos, conocimientos, habilidades y experiencia acumulada
The limbic system takes precedence over the neocortex
• It controls basic functions
• It is related to the subconscious, memory, attention and emotions
The neocortex controls emotions
• It is the rational part of the brain
• It controls memorization, concentration, self-reflection, problem solving
• It forms memories, knowledge, skills and accumulated experience

• Once the person proposes their cool brand, the following questions will add the rational aspects that make the decision, decryption and way to live the aforementioned experience. Subjects included are:

– Communication, understood as advertising related events, PR, merchandising, etc.

Coolest Gaps
• The view of the brand experience for companies where the respondents work, continues to be critical with regard to the experience offered by cool brands
• However, in those areas where the cool brands were perceived as unsatisfactory, the score is creeping up
• The most criticized point is the place where the experience happens. In turn, this together with what the brand actually communicates show a large gap with regard to the brands admired by each participant

20130730_C&GBS_Results
• The gaps between the cool brands and the companies where the respondents work did not highlight any noticeable changes
• Particularly, with regards to how the Brand is lived internally, a steady decline in the results was observed
– This could be down to the crisis
– Qualitatively, there are cases (through comments) in which, what has been done in the last two years is only a superficial change

• In technology there are few mentions of social networks, however specific mobile apps are starting to appear such as Instagram or Whatsapp
• Car brands are moving closer to consumer reality, leaving aside brands such as Maserati or Ferrari, BMW, MINI and Audi are gaining ground in first place, followed by Ford, Volkswagen and Toyota
• In food, after the mentions of Coca-Cola, Red Bull and Heineken, “corner shop” mentions stand out; proximity is important for mass consumption. Although sheepishly, big distribution brands are beginning to appear
• As for travel, again the coolest thing is the experience you have and not the prices. With Vueling and Virgin, the trend of previous years was reaffirmed
