Each year, on behalf of GE Capital Canada and the Franchise Finance team, we donate proceeds of the Canadian Restaurant Investment Summit to a chosen charity. We pledge our support because we feel it is important to partner in ways that go beyond capital alone. In the past, we have donated to:
■ St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation of Vancouver, on behalf of Paul Hollands, President & CEO of A&W Food Services of Canada Inc.
■ Cause We Care Foundation, on behalf of Tom Gaglardi, President of Northland Properties
■ The Keg Spirit Foundation, on behalf of David Aisenstat, President of The Keg
■ Montreal Youth Centre Foundation, on behalf of Patrick Palerme, former President & CEO of GE Capital Canada
This year, GE Capital is proud to support Chairman Tom’s Annual Grouse Grind Event which brings together the hotel and restaurant industry in a test of physical endurance, camaraderie, and charitable giving like no other. Starting at the base of Grouse Mountain, participants face a steep climb to the mountain summit in search of stunning views, beer and nachos. Since its inception, the event has raised almost $100,000 for the Vancouver General Hospital/UBC Hospital Foundation in support of MS Research, ALS Society of BC and Canadian Cancer Society.
Join us JulY 24, 2014 foR ouR 8th annual event at GRouse mountain. Please contact Carrie Russell [email protected] or Robin McLuskie [email protected] for more information.
