SMURF & MINI SOCCERThe Norwood Smurf and Mini soccer teams had an incredible season! This year we had 3 Smurf teams and 3 Mini teams, and were once again together in a league with teams from Champlain and Notre Dame Community Centres.
From the amount (and volume!) of laughter that could be heard at games, it’s safe to say this soccer season was a huge success!
A very big ‘thank you’ to our volunteer coaches - without you, our soccer programs could not run! Thank you coaches, for encouraging each player whether they were twirling in circles or on their way to their first goal; for showing up with a smile on your face and putting smiles on the children’s faces.
Thank you to the parents, friends, and relatives who just as enthusiastically cheered for each cartwheel, weed-pull, and bug-chase as they did for each kick, pass, and goal.
Thank you for helping out on the field when needed and for providing the delicious snacks to the teams throughout the season. We are incredibly fortunate to be a part of a community with such spirit!
See you next Spring!
Robyn.
