1. Remove the 3 vandalismproof caps with screwdriver and the 3 screws withsupplied special tool (in document holder)
2. Remove the side panel by removing the 4 internal screws with spanner of 13
3. Roof removing of BTS2 (MEDI) or BTS1 (MINI)
4. Unscrew the BTS1 roof and remove it (MEDI)
5. Using specific tool, unscrew the racks (top view)
6. Disassemble the rack.

3.3.3 Crane Transportation With Craning Bar
Insert belts or slings before inserting rods bar into eyebolts - belts with 4 pointfastening should be used as a loading harnessCheck that max. tensile load per eyebolt is not exceeded: direction of pull a =45� to the screw axis 240 kg/eyebolt
Respect transport regulations:
single cabinet: fasten transport belts to all 4 eyebolts
MINI or MEDI cabinet: insert rods through eyebolts and attach to cranehook at minimum of 4 points
The bar and the fixing points are specified by Alcatel.The choice of straps (slings), hooks and crane are under responsibility ofcraning subcontractor.

Procedure 1. Assemble the racks using same principle of dismantling
2. Position the BTS
3. Level the racks using spanner of 19 (1 of figure 12)
4. Block the leveling feet nuts using spanner of 19 (2 of figure 12)
5. Fix the racks to the concrete foundation (3- 4 - 5 - 6 of figure 12)

Procedure 1. Assemble the racks using same principle of dismantling
2. Mark the position of fixing points on the foundation (See Figure 14)
3. Drill fixing holes (4 holes)
4. Insert wall plugs with screws into the holes (See Figure 13)
5. Tighten a little and remove the screws
6. Position the BTS
7. Level the racks using spanner of 19 (1 of Figure 13)
8. Block the leveling feet wit nuts with spanner of 19 (2 of Figure 13)
9. Fix the racks to the concrete foundation (3 - 4 - 5 of Figure 13)

This chapter describes the procedure to:
Install power cables in the cable tray
Connect protective earth cable (GND)
Connect the 230 V mains power supply cables
Install the batteries
Test the power supply installation.
Before making any electrical connections to the rack, ensure that the safetyinstructions are applied.
It is essential that:
the electrical power supply is disconnected. Ensure that all switches or fuses
devoted to the new RACK into the site connection box are switched OFF
due to the high leakage current, the protective EARTH must be connectedto the equipment before AC or DC power cable connection.

4.5 Batteries Installation (If Dismantled On Site)The BTS can be equipped by factory either with BU41 or BU100 batteries. Thisprocedure is only applied after site dismantling (because transportation).
The weight of each element of battery BU100 is 30 kg. Apply safety rules
to carry it
Use insulated tools when connecting
Batteries are delivered in fully charged status.
Procedure 1. Put the batteries in the compartment at bottom of rack (See Figure 16)
2. Put spacers between batteries
3. Fix the batteries to the rack with strap (See Figure 20)
4. Connect the cables between the elements of batteries (See Figure 21or Figure 22)
5. Connect positive and negative cables to the battery pack
6. Connect the temperature sensor to the positive of battery pack
7. Use protective covers to insulate terminals.

Installation kit
Procedure 1. Choose the good configuration
2. Pass the synchronization cables in the site cable way
3. Label the cables with supplied labels
4. Dismantle SubD 9 connectors (write down the wire colors)
5. Pass the cables through the BTS bottom plate
6. Put back the SubD 9 connectors
7. Connect cables to the coreponding sockets of connection area (SeeFigure 37)
8. Fasten the connectors with knurled screws
