2-Day SAT Preparation LabThe SAT is a test unlike any other your child has taken. It is not the standard curriculum-based test, but a test of reasoning. Straight knowl-edge is not enough to do well. Learning how to strategically and aggressively take it is a key to success. This hands-on lab is effective for students anywhere in the SAT/PSAT preparation process. The fi rst day of this 2-day program includes a seminar focusing on the key strategies of how to take the test, followed by topic-specifi c strategies relating to each portion of the test. Major techniques include when and how to guess, which questions to skip and which to focus on and how to prep independently. The second day consists of a full-length, proctored SAT practice test. Within three weeks, families receive a diagnostic analysis of the test results. Bring a scientifi c or graphing calculator, two pencils, highlighter, brown bag lunch, snack and drink to each session. Two sessions available.

Introduction to Digital Photography SLR Level 1
Stop hiding behind Photoshop. The true art of
photography starts behind the camera, not the
computer. Through tips and techniques of basic
photography, you’ll learn how to become more

photographers and aspiring amateurs seeking
ways to improve their results are ideal for this
workshop. Popular makes and models will be
compared and can serve as a guideline for future
purchases. More advanced technologies, like using
your camera in semi-automatic and manual
modes, will also be covered.

Martial Arts TrainingAction Karate focuses on using martial arts as a vehicle to instill the values of respect, self-control, focus, self-confi dence and discipline in children and adults. We are always looking for ways to increase our ability to achieve our full potential. We are startled to read recently that starting at age 40, we lose .5% of our lean muscle mass every year unless we are involved in an exercise program. Our goal is to combat this and help you stay fi t and strong. Includes uniform.

Shared Use TrailsUnderstanding Shared-Use Trail Etiquette can make Trails More Enjoyable for Everyone, it’s important that you understand trail etiquette. Follow these simple steps:
Respect other users; expect other users. Show courtesy. Respect wildlife. Respect public & private property. Leave no trace.
Be friendly and courteous. Greet other folks with a simple “Hello!” or “Nice day today!”
Bicyclists should yield to everyone. Runners yield to walkers. Downhill traffi c yield to uphill traffi c. When in doubt, give other users the right of way.
Announce yourself when approaching others, especially from behind. If you’re in a group, avoid blocking the trail.
Stay on the trail. Creating your own path or cutting switchbacks creates erosion, damages habitat and natural resources.
Operate within your ability at all times. Remember that situations can get out-of-control fast if you’re not attentive!
Be considerate, keep dogs leashed and under control at all times. Other trail users don't know your dog is friendly.
Be prepared. Bring water, snacks, maps and other equipment you may need. Know where you’re going, and tell someone else your plan.
