The Sacrament of Reconciliation: Confessions are heard each week on Saturday at the Church (SR #46) from 3:45pm to 4:45pm. The Sacrament of Baptism: Call the parish office to learn the necessary requirements and make an appointment to have your child baptized. The Sacrament of Marriage: Getting married? Congratulations! The process of being married in the Catholic Church could take between 6 months to a year to complete. Please contact Ann Cammarata at the parish office as soon as possible after your engagement if you would like to be married at All Souls Catholic Church. Anointing of the Sick: Please call the parish office. The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. Did you know that the Sacrament may be repeated if the person becomes sick again? A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention. Eucharistic Ministry to the Sick and Homebound: If you are unable to attend Mass, please call the parish office so we may assist you in having a visit from one of our ministers or one of our priests. Catholic Funeral and Burial: Please call the parish office or have the funeral home director contact us to arrange the Funeral Mass and for more information about burial at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
A Christmas Blessing from your Parish Catechetical Leader, Holly Hooton: May God's peace and grace pour over all of the wonderful families of All Souls with every Christmas blessing this year. May we continue to remember God’s gifts to us each and every day in the upcoming New Year. As a faith community may we carry the joy of Christmas into the upcoming year as we continue to grow in discipleship and love for Jesus Christ. May we share Christ’s love with those in need through living a life nurtured by the Sacraments and teachings of the Church through service as well as Christ like leadership and compassion. Wishes of gladness and joy! To the parish community of All Souls from the Music and Liturgy Ministries: We wish you the very best as we celebrate the Christmas Season! As we sing the carols of Christmas that announce Christ’s birth, we look into our hearts and parish community to once again reflect upon something that took place over 2,000 years ago. We ask ourselves if and how we have grown to embrace this ‘coming again’ into our lives, our ministries. On behalf of the Liturgical Ministries, I am grateful to each of you for serving with the spirit of generosity and dedication. As we look to the coming year, let us all look to the great Star of Epiphany as a guiding force. Just as the star guided the magi on a journey to embrace Christ, let us all ponder what gifts we can offer the Christ-child in the coming year. Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! David McGhee
May Christmas this year be a reminder to you of how much God loves you. May the holy day of our Lord's birth be a beautiful day of grace for you, for the Lord came to make you His very own and gave His life for you and to you. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We invite you to adopt
this custom in your family. The family gathers to ask God’s blessing on their home and on those who live in or visit the home. It is an invitation for Jesus to be a daily guest in our home, our comings and goings, our conversations, our work and play, our joys and sorrows.
A traditional way of doing this is to use chalk to write above the home’s entrance (inside or out), 20 + C + M + B + 19. The letters C, M, B have two meanings. They are the initials of the traditional names of the three magi: Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar. They also abbreviate the Latin words Christus mansionem benedicat, “May Christ bless the house.” The “+” signs represent the cross and 2016 is the year. Blessing the Chalk: V. Our help is the name of the Lord: R. The maker of heaven and earth. V. The Lord shall watch over your going out and your coming in: R. From this time forth for evermore. Let us pray. Loving God, bless this chalk which you have created, that it may be helpful to your people; and grant that through the invocation of your most Holy Name that we who use it in faith to write upon
the door of our home the names of your holy ones Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar, may receive health of body and protection of soul for all who dwell in or visit our home; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Instructions for Blessing the Home: Using the blessed chalk mark the lintel of your front door (or front porch step) as follows: 20 + C + M + B + 19 while saying: The three Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar followed the star of God’s Son who became human two thousand and fifteen years ago. May Christ bless our home and remain with us throughout the new year. Amen.
Then offer the following prayer: Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence. Bless all who live or visit here with the gift of your love; and grant that we may manifest your love to each other and to all whose lives we touch. May we grow in grace and in the knowledge and love of you; guide, comfort, and strengthen us in peace, O Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen. “Chalking the door” is a way to celebrate and literally mark the occasion of the Epiphany and God’s blessing of our lives and home. With time the chalk will fade. As it does we let the meaning of the symbols written sink into the depths of our heart and be manifest in our words and actions the Latin words, Christus mansionem benedictat, “May Christ bless the house.
